We had a similar coffee pot (but probably aluminum) years ago that we used camping and it made good coffee so I was attracted to this pot. Our electricity went out for a couple of days earlier this summer and we had to go to town to get (satisfying but expensive) coffee. This morning we tried out the pot - good coffee (used about the same amount of coffee we would in our drip coffee maker) and we're really glad it is stainless steel. The coffee pot is a nice weight and quality. The wooden handle is a little rough. I would recommend washing quickly and not let the pot sit in water. Also they could have done without the hinge It's a little wobbly at best and really not necessary. We will be keeping this with our emergency supplies. I think it is overpriced but it is a quality coffee pot we can count on.

Perfect Percolator!Love this coffee pot! It’s solid, stylish, and makes great-tasting coffee. Works well on all stove types and the 9-cup size is ideal. Great for home or camping.

Works. Percolated coffee just fine. Got it to use on propane when the power goes out. Hadn't perked coffee in forty years.
