This is a great way to make coffee but I thought it would make more or at least enough for 1 full mug. It barely makes half a glass because the bottom portion you use to fill the water up is so small. Used it on my electric stove top and worked great.

This pot works great, and it's a good value for the price. However,it's most definitely a single serving and it is tiny. There is only one burner in my stove that is small enough to use for this, as it's specified that the flames or burner shouldn't be wider than the bottom. And even with that, I already melted a bit of the plastic handle 😢

I’m glad I read reviews of this product before using it. Users have mentioned melting handles (they’re plastic). We have a gas stove, so we are careful in how we position the unit on the burner & the height of the flame. So far so good!Be sure to properly insert the gasket so the grounds don’t end up in your coffee! We had an issue with that before we realized we hadn’t assembled it correctly.Makes a nice coffee pretty easily & quickly.

I bought this to try out, to see if I'd like using a Moka pot. I do. I'll likely replace this one with a higher quality one, and give this one to a friend to try out. It's not fancy, but it works and is easy to use and clean.Updated Review. So I've been using this moka pot almost daily for coming on 2 months now. For what I paid, I can't find any fault with it. It came with an extra gasket too. There is a learning curve, right temp vs grinds, vs amounts vs etc etc. My one suggestion is to buy either 58mm or 60mm round paper filters. Wet the filters and place centered on the bottom of the pot before screwing together. I tried 2 filters today, and got an even richer results. ...and buy a milk frother too. I've had so much fun making pretty layered latte's/cappuccinos. I pour the frothed milk into a clear cup, then layer in the coffee out of the moku pot, starting and stopping occasionally. It makes for a beautiful presentation of stepped layers of coffee and milk with the milk foam on top. The bottom layer is almost white and the layer under the foam is the darkest. This also makes for a great cup of coffee, as you get the intense dark layer first, as a wakeup call, then is mellows out as you continue drinking through the layers. Takes some practice but you can get several distinct layers, or a smooth gradient. I've had so much fun making this part of my morning routine.

When I recently went to Italy, using one of these pots was the only way to make coffee. I ended up really enjoying the coffee this little pot made and wanted to get one for my house - especially to make espresso for espresso martinis. This one looks just like the one I used there (even if likely a different brand) and makes coffee just as tasty. Easy to learn to operate on gas or electric stove.

Get this pot if you are into aesthetics and don't plan on using it EVER!When I first opened the pot to wash it, I noticed how poor the build quality was on this pot. The edges of the metal coffee basket and filter were pretty sharp, and if you're not careful, you could end up cutting yourself. Also, the gaskets had extra pieces of rubber from the mold that they didn't bother to cut off. Although I overlooked this because as long as the pot preforms well, I was ok with the pieces being a bit lower quality, however, I should have known better, because my first brewing experience was a disaster. When the coffee started brewing, the pot started spitting coffee all over the place rather than nicely flowing to the bottom. I checked to see if I screwed the top on enough, as it was my first time using a Moka pot, I didn't screw the top on quite tight enough, beginners error. When I put the pot on again, and also on a smaller burner, it still spat coffee all over, and not only that coffee started leaking from the seal where the two halves of the pot meet. After making my first cup of coffee with this pot, I decided I'm returning it and spending a little extra to get a Bialetti; sometimes, it pays to buy brand name.
