I like to make my own flour tortillas, so that I can get nice, large burrito-sized wraps. After hand rolling and frying them for about a minute per side, I then prep them for long term storage in the freezer. I didn't have a specific container to save the tortillas in before. Usually I would take a large gallon plastic freezer bag and try to fit them inside.When I saw this item, I thought it would be quite handy. I made a batch of fresh tortillas yesterday, and slid them into the pouch. I was able to fit about 10 tortillas inside without damaging them, although I did have to fold them at the edges to squeeze them in.I assumed the pouch had a zipper so I could be opened wide to facilitate insertion/removal of the tortillas. Alas, it does not. Instead, the pouch has an opening about 1/3rd of the circumference. There is no option to adjust the size of the opening, nor to seal up the pouch. This means it's not useful for long-term storage, as it doesn't offer an airtight seal.The pouch is more designed for short-term storage, and for easy reheating. It is microwaveable, so you can toss in a few frozen tortillas and nuke them for 30 -60 sec and have warm tortillas to doll out at the dinner table.While I would have liked to have the zipper option (pretty sure it could have included a plastic zipper that allowed for opening and closing the pouch). As it is, the pouch still does serve a purpose for those who like to enjoy warm tortillas.
