Okay, let's be honest, I bought this tortilla warmer because I wanted to elevate my taco Tuesdays. I envisioned a sophisticated spread, tortillas radiating gentle warmth, a subtle glow emanating from the perfectly-grained wooden lid. This warmer promised to be the Beyonce of tortilla containers.And for the most part, it delivers. The airtight wooden lid is gorgeous. A satin dream. It's the kind of lid you'd find on a handcrafted antique box, possibly containing ancient secrets or at least a very nice collection of artisanal cheeses. It screams "I have my life together, and my tortillas are always the perfect temperature."But then your eyes move down to the ceramic.Prepare to be blinded.Seriously, this ceramic is so glossy, it's like staring directly into the face of a thousand suns. I'm pretty sure I saw a tiny tortilla angel descend from the heavens as I opened it the first time. My kitchen, which usually resembles a delightful explosion of spices and clutter, was suddenly bathed in an Unearthly gleam.It's beautiful, in a "disco ball in a monastery" kind of way. The problem is, it clashes with the subdued elegance of the lid. It's like pairing a velvet tuxedo jacket with neon Crocs. It just feels…wrong. The ceramic is so shiny that it actually detracts from the overall luxurious feel. It's like it's trying too hard. "Look at me!" it screams, "I'm ceramic! I'm glossy! I reflect light like a freshly Zamboni-ed ice rink!"My tortillas, nestled within, are probably having existential crises. Are they worthy of such blinding glory? Do they deserve to be kept warm in a vessel that could potentially signal distant galaxies?So, four stars. Because it does keep my tortillas delightfully warm and fresh. And because the lid is genuinely beautiful. But I'm docking a star for the ceramic's blinding ambition. Maybe I'll try sticking some matte contact paper to it? Or perhaps invest in a pair of welding goggles for serving taco Tuesdays.Either way, my tortillas have achieved enlightenment. I'm just not sure I was ready for it.

Heavy, quality ceramic tortilla warmer is stylish, and practical for heating tortillas and keeping pancakes warm. It is easy to use and easy to clean. I placed 5 tortillas inside and heated in the microwave for 25 second. I took them out, placed the wooden lid on top, and tested them in 15 minutes and they were just as warm as when I first took them out of the microwave. I tested them again at 21 minutes and they felt about the same. At 30 minutes they were starting to cool down. If I had hated more tortillas so that it was more full, I think they would have stayed warmer even longer. Because it is ceramic, it does sweat inside from the condensation which is to be expected. I simply wiped out the moisture from around the sides above the tortillas with a paper towel and replaced the lid. I plan to hand wash both the lid and the ceramic bowl, although I think the ceramic part would be fine in the dishwasher. As you can see from the photos, the inside is about 8 1/4' wide so can hold this size tortillas. I definitely recommend.

It is gorgeous, just as beautiful as in the pics. After checking n considering the other options, I decided to get this one and boy I am very happy with this purchase. Looks great on my kitchen marble counter and the seal is tight, perfect for keeping everything nice and warm!

Lid has foul odor and wood is painted dark color with spots and chipped paint; Lid is also not airtight as suggested. Overall this is not a natural looking and lid is loose. The ceramic is pretty but this lid does not work or keep insulated so it is not worth the money.
