The handle was misaligned, causing the paint to scrape off on one side and creating imbalances when pressing down. I had to send it back and decided not to re-order.

I received the Tortilla press and was eager to use, so I made some very quick and easy tortillas. I choose this model specifically because of the Teflon / plastic block under the handle (picture #3) . I have a Victoria cast iron press as well and the constant grinding everytime you press down on the handle scratches and rubs the top exposing it to rust etc.The Panan build quality feels fairly good. Although it is not as heavy as a my Victoria Cast Iron press (there is comfort in the heavier weight of cast iron) it is easier to live with, moving around and storing. Even though it is not as heavy, it doesn't feel weak because of it.My only complaint is the paint was not perfect. There was some very minor places where there was no paint which I feel could cause it to flake off in future or expose the bare metal to corrosion /oxidizing (picture #2, very hard to see with the lighting). The missing paint was only on one edge of the top part of the press.Overall pretty happy, would just suggest to Panan a little better QC, but otherwise the Teflon block and adjustable thicknesses are genuinely great features and I look forward to making more with it.

Tortilla press is easy to use and makes an evenly distributed thickness. The instructions included in the box were very limited but overall not too hard to figure out.

The press is off-balance and not straight, resulting in uneven tortillas. Despite their claim of excellent customer service, they only responded to my initial email and ignored my next three follow-ups. I wouldn't rely on their claim to "put things right" if there's a problem.

I ordered this because I make sourdough Tortillas, Naan, and Pita, and I wanted a press that would allow me to adjust the thickness without a lot of annoying extra parts or time-intensive switching around - and not something that would be huge, clunky, and ridiculously expensive. This press is awesome. The design is really cool, and it's easy to clean, and priced fair for the high quality that it is. Absolutely love it and know I will love it for many years to come.

There weren't a lot of reviews, but went for it anyway. Glad I did!If you want to make tortilla chips...you can make them super thin. If you want to make flat bread you can make it as thick as you could want.Changing thickness is easy...just undo two screws, switch to desired thickness and put the screws back.Only things I would change is to make the screws "wing-nut" style. Then you wouldn't have to keep track of the Allen wrench. And I would stamp the thickness settings on the adjuster....so you know which one you are on. Neither are a deal breaker though.Heavy. Easy to use. Well made. Looks good too.Very pleased.
