Does not work as a tortilla press. The lever presses in the wrong place so only the edge nearest the lever is flat enough to be a tortilla.

I bought it in 10 inches and the size is what I wanted. I haven't used it yet, but I put it together and it was super easy. So we'll see how it works.

I received my press shortly after ordering. It came in and was missing nuts to hold the pieces in place, and then i was not impressed by the pressing power of this particular tortilla press. It would only press the tortillas to about 4 inches wide. I do not recommend.

I got frustrated trying to roll out pizza dough. I bought this large tortilla press (it's a monster). I used my breadmaker to make bread dough, then I divided it in half, put the dough on the tortilla maker (between two sheets of parcement paper) and voila....a nice 12" pizza base. I took off the top parcement paper, put on the sauce, sausage, cheese and stuff and slid it onto a hot pizza stone with a pizza paddle. I put the pizza on with the bottom parcement paper. 7 minutes later...a pizza to die for. I got gazillons of compliments on the pizza. This is great for making homemade pizza.

I love it. I should have bought this years ago. Makes life so easy. I use it at least twice a week to make wraps. I now don't make bread. I just use this instead. I do use parchment paper on each side of the dough ball for ease of transferring the tortilla wrap to my big cast iron skillet. Sprinkle flour on each side of the dough ball before you press. Works like a charm! From what I have read in the "reviews", it is good to have a little "wiggle room" when you are pressing down on your dough. Just press down; wiggle it a tad; spin the dough a quarter or half a turn; press down and wiggle it again; and then you will have a nice thin tortilla to cook up. Also, for those who don't get a tortilla big enough when pressing down, add more dough. Then your tortilla will be bigger. You can do this!!!!!!

Using this to flatten my pizza crust, it works well for this purpose. Saves so much time making homemade pizza for my pizza oven. This is really heavy and hard to store but still worth it.
