When I saw that these existed I had to give it a try. It works perfectly and was way easier than I expected. The length of the drawstrings that come with it was perfect for my hoodie and waistband. This little tool will be in my sewing box from now on for all those time I accidentally pull too hard on the string.

Very happy with these drawstrings. I needed to replace the drawstring on a jacket (black) and this drawcord was the perfect length. As someone who has always just used a closed safety pin and struggled to thread cords, the threading bobbin was a lifesaver. So quick and simple to use. The cords themselves are soft woven almost shoelace in feel. I feel they would be more suited to lighter weight clothes rather than outdoor jackets which need a more rugged cord. Still they work and I am happy

The cords are NOT COTTON but a shiny and annoyingly stretchy polyester with horrible ends that have gaps and sharp edges.The only thing that prevented a 1-star was the handy tool. While not well assembled or finished (lock washer is the wrong way and jaws are sharp) it helped my put the original hood strings back in.

Get this for the tool alone. SO much better than using a safety pin like they taught you in the old days. Set of two bonus metal ended drawstring cords for emergency replacement or for testing. You could actually use them permanently, but the tool is the thing you want to make this purchase for. Didn't even know these existed and I wish i had one of these years and years ago. Excellent addition to your sewing kit.

Very happy with this product! I just replaced a waistband drawstring and it was the perfect length for doing so, and the included bodkin made threading the waistband an absolute breeze. A nice, simple and straightforward replacement with no tears. Love it.

This set of 2 drawstrings and the bodkin by Tormen are a good item to have on hand if you have clothing that has drawstrings. I actually ended up using one of the drawstrings for a pair of pajama pants where the elastic had lost its stretch. The bodkin was easy to use and putting a drawstring into the pants was a simple process. It took me longer to rip out part of the seam to create an opening for it than it took to run the drawstring through. The description says that the drawstrings are all cotton which I prefer. They seem durable and sturdy. The metal aglets haven’t bothered me and give them a nice finishing touch. For the current price of $7 I find this to be a good deal.My Amazon rating system-Five stars-Great item. May have a minor flaw that does not detract from appearance or function.Four stars-Great item. It's long enough for a hoodie. The ends are capped nicely with no sharp edges. Not sure what else there is to say about a replacement drawstring. It's not the best value for the price since it only includes one but other than that it's good.

I ordered this kit primarily for the metal threader, and I wasn't disappointed. It makes life SO much easier getting a drawstring in. You slide the metal circle away from the tweezer end in order to open it, then pinch your drawstring, and push the slider back towards the tweezer end to lock it in. Then slide it in the fabric to pull the drawstring through. Way easier than how I used to do it before this tool.The drawstrings that were included also seem to be good. I like the quality, especially how they finished off the ends.BOTTOM LINE: Whether you're after the drawstrings or the tool, I think this is a great product. Five stars.

Drawstring came as described. Approximately 51 inches long and 1/4 inch in diameter. Metal tips made it easy to restring a pair of shorts. Highly recommend.

This product is pretty straightforward and works as expected. The cotton drawstring material is smooth and fits into the pants that we needed to replace the drawstring on. It took a little effort to figure out the technique for using the metal threader, but eventually we got the hang of it and then it did the job just fine.

I had a new pair of pajamas that, on of their first trips through the dryer, wound up getting caught and the drawstring was destroyed. Since I really wanted to wear the PJ pants I decided to just try and replace the drawstring with this one since it looked a lot sturdier. The drawstring was easier to install than I expected thanks to the size and shape which was easy to feel through the synthetic fabric of the waistband. It also didn't require a safety pin or threader to do so which was nice. The black color pairs well with the black/white PJ pants and the 51” length is more than enough for me to be able to properly tie the drawstring. So, now that I can wear my PJs again I am quite happy....

Just as described: jet black, substantial, with a little give and sturdy metal tips. Plenty long enough for my sweatpants and hoodie. The tool is ingenious and makes threading a drawstring through a casing much easier than with a large safety pin.
