Thread works for about 75% of the needles in the pack, but there are a couple with eyes way too small to get the thread into.

This needle and thread combo is a game changer for me. The thread is very sturdy as well as the needle. I used it to replace a broken zipper on a heavy winter coat. It made the job a breeze and genuinely shocked me at how fast I was able to finish the job. I had no idea that you could buy such thick thread! I tried using a threader because it seems almost impossible to thread the needle but the threader broke right away so i figure out the you wet the thread tip and twist it tight and aim for the hole. Whatever sticks through just grab and the rest will follow. I would absolutely recommend this set for any type of thicker fabric like a heavy coat, purse, couch, car seat.. really anything. I'm very impressed by it!

The nylon was heavy but not clumsy to use on leather car seats. The curved needle was absolutely perfect to use on seam of older car driver seat.. I highly recommend for any carpets, chairs, or auto seats in desperate need of repair. And no, the eyelets are plenty big to push thru the thread. And much stronger than regular needles. Several options in this kit.......

If they included a needle threader, the kit would be perfect. The thread frays very easily and is difficult to thread the eyes of the smaller gauge needles in the kit. The eyes of the larger gauge needles are no problem. Hope it helps.

U get a lot but I needed to repair a couch and this stuff was really stringy, fraying and not suitable. I can't imagine any thing I would need for.
