Works great, was easy to install, and it’s currently holding a tire for my trailer.

We used the tire carrier to mount a spare tire on the headache rack for our Honda Acty Kei truck. The bolts were a bit too long for the space, but instead of cutting them my husband used a wooden spacer and it turned out great. We're very happy with the result.

This bracket is extremely sturdy and has very heavy duty hardware for mounting. I was surprised that it was so well crafted. Usually these are thinner metal but this one is nice and thick to hold up for years to come on our RV. I recommend this bracket.

I put this spare tire carrier on my small boat trailer to hold a 5 lug 12x4.8 spare trailer wheel. The frame bracket is quite large with several bolt holes to accommodate various size tongue beams. Quality of the metal fabrication is very good and the paint finish is nicely applied. I had no problem adjusting the wheel mounting bolts to accommodate my small trailer wheel.

I originally got this to use for 8" wheels, but the mounting bracket is too big. It works for my trailer with 13" rims though. The only thing I don't like is that the bolts that hold the wheel onto the bracket are not fixed, so you have to use another wrench on the back to tighten the nut when mounting the wheel. The other thing is that the bolt size does not match my trailer lug nuts, so I have to carry 2 different sized wrenches: one to remove the tire from this bracket and another wrench to remove the wheel from the trailer. I may purchase 2 additional bolts that match the size of the lug nuts on my trailer so that I only need to carry 1 wrench.

I’m upgrading my trailer spare from an 8 to a 12” rim and tire. The tire mount plate will not fit inside a 8” rim if that’s what you have. No problem with the 12” rim . My current spare mount is a t slot bolt that attaches directly to trailer tongue but it causes the tire to sit low and I have had an occasion where the spare was hitting the ground at a kayak launch. This offset head will raise my spare to get my clearance above ground. Hardware bolts and washers were loose in box as bag was ripped and was missing one lug bolt, may have fallen out as box was ripped too.
