I have had this for quite a while now. It works perfect and has been durable. It is very sensitive and a great value.

The device is great. THe two nested plasic covers are a bit of a problem since they make the scale hard to handle.

In the world of jewelry making, 3D design, wax carving, lost wax casting, sand casting, smelting, forging, laser engraving, and sublimation, precision isn't just a requirement—it's an art. As the owner of a company deeply immersed in these crafts and an active vlogger and streamer dedicated to sharing the intricacies of my work, finding tools that meet my stringent standards for accuracy and reliability is paramount. The Toprime Digital Gram Scale has become such a tool, proving itself to be an invaluable asset in my studio. The first aspect of the Toprime scale that caught my attention was its high precision. Offering measurements in increments of 0.01g up to a maximum of 500g, it has been instrumental in ensuring that the materials I use are measured with the utmost accuracy. This level of detail is critical, especially when dealing with precious metals and stones, where the slightest discrepancy can significantly affect the value and balance of a piece. Moreover, the multifunctionality of this scale is impressive. Not only does it serve my needs for precise measurements in jewelry making, but it also supports my ventures into 3D design and sublimation, where exact weights can influence the quality and outcome of a project. The ability to switch between units of measurement effortlessly has made this scale a versatile tool adaptable to various aspects of my work. The design of the Toprime Digital Gram Scale is another highlight. Its compact size does not take up unnecessary space in my already equipment-filled studio, and the stainless steel platform is both durable and easy to clean, an essential feature for maintaining a hygienic workspace. Additionally, the clear LCD and intuitive interface ensure that measurements can be read and understood quickly, streamlining my workflow even further.Using the Toprime scale has also enhanced the content I share with my audience. Demonstrating the precision and care that goes into each step of my crafting process has not only educated my viewers but has also elevated their appreciation for the artistry involved in jewelry making and design. This scale has enabled me to showcase the importance of accuracy in creating exquisite, high-quality pieces. Finally, the reliability of the Toprime Digital Gram Scale has been beyond reproach. It has consistently provided accurate readings, giving me confidence in the quality and consistency of my work. Its performance has reinforced the notion that having the right tools is indispensable in achieving excellence in craftsmanship. In conclusion, the Toprime Digital Gram Scale has become a cornerstone of precision in my studio. Its accuracy, versatility, and user-friendly design have not only enhanced the quality of my work but have also provided a tangible way to share the depth of my craft with my audience. For anyone in the field of jewelry making, design, or any precision-oriented craft, I highly recommend the Toprime scale. It's not just a tool; it's a partner in your pursuit of perfection.

I prefer to measure things out in grams, and this is accurate within 0.01g - perfect for something as reliant on ratios as soapmaking. I got this to replace a not-much-cheaper scale that was incredibly inaccurate. While the plate on this one is smaller, it's plenty big enough to hold the ramekins I use for weighing out oils and lye (I make small 1-lb batches, if you make larger ones, you might have some trouble fitting it on this scale). Note it does NOT come with batteries and takes two AAAs. Would buy it again!

I bought this scale for the 0.01 accuracy, though it's kind of hard to actually measure with that precision so the perfectionist in me gets a little annoyed. The scale I had only did whole values for grams and ml, which was not helpful for making bread. This scale is smaller than I anticipated, but that could 100% be my failure to read. I wish the buttons were covered with something instead of clicky buttons because I spill things when I'm measuring ingredients so now they stick.

I bought this scale for its precision, reading to .01 grams, and I am amazed by how well it performs. Display precision is worthless if repeated measurements are not consistent. I have come to expect the last digit in affordable measuring instruments to vary by around 20%. My 5 kg scale for example, which reads to only 1 gram, varies by as much as +/-2 grams with each reading. So I was very pleasantly surprised to find that this scale repeated measurements over and over again with zero variation.I took a measurement of 448.97 g about dozen times and got exactly the same result every time. Coming back an hour later it read 448.98 g with every check. Later it read 448.96 g on each measurement. I think the variation was the result of small temperture changes and I find it perfectly acceptable at this price point.I cannot speak yet to the scales accuracy, consistency over time, or reliability. I have ordered some OIML class F1 calibration weights (each of which cost more than this scale) and will update this review when I have had a chance to check the scales accuracy. The English manual is beyond bad, but the scale is so simple to use it is not really needed. The only tricky part is calibration, and reviewer Rick M. provided excelent instructions, which I will use when my calibration weights arrive.

As an avid home-brewer, for years I've muddled through with kitchen scales that had accuracies of +/- 5 grams. When the smallest quantity I needed to weight was a half-ounce of hops, this was acceptable. But as I've gotten more involved in the process and started messing with the chemistry of my brew water, I really need something that could resolve to at least a gram, or half-a gram. This little scale does that. It's not exactly lab quality, but comparing it to a very expensive lab balance I found it to be accurate to about +/- 0.02g -- or about 200 times more accurate than the clunky old kitchen scales I was using before.Although not pro-lab quality, it is quite accurate enough for kid-level home science, and I have used it to measure out quantities for chemistry experiments that my niece and I do when she comes to visit. The scale is small -- the weighing platform is about 4-inches square, and the maximum capacity is just over a pound. But it's designed for weighting small quantities, and it does this with an accuracy far beyond your typical kitchen scale. It's easy to use, and easy to calibrate (although as another reviewer, Rick M. points out, the calibration procedure given in the manual is wrong.)The scale comes with two plastic containers that you can use to put what you're weighing in, protecting the stainless steel platform. One note of caution here: the plastic containers tend to pick up a static charge, and the scale is so sensitive that you may notice the scale change readings (in the negative!) as the plastic comes near the platform. A quick wipe of the outside of the container with a damp paper towel will help minimize this effect, which shouldn't, in any case, affect the weight reading. Once the pan is on the platform everything settles out and tares nicely.Takes two AAA cells, not included. All in all, a very nice little scale, and for this price you can't go wrong, so long as you use it for its intended applications.

I ordered this scale because I need a to measure in small gram weights. I liked the size of the scale and that it measures in 10ths of a gram. It is not shipped with batteries, so I had a freshly charged set of rechargeable AAA batteries on hand when it arrived earlier today. Everything looked good upon unpacking, so I inserted the rechargeable batteries and the scale display turned on. Changing measurement units was easy, as was taring the scale. It's when I started measuring that I ran into problems.I measured three ramekins of varying sizes to test the precision of this scale. However, I was never able to get an accurate measurement on any of them. The displayed weight of each ramekin constantly changed and would never lock in on a weight. Turning it back off/on again, taring it, changing measurement units and even swapping batteries did not resolve the issue. I could never get an accurate measurement with this scale, as the displayed weight wouldn't stop fluctuating.I am more than a little disappointed that this scale did not measure up to the task it was intended to perform. I cannot be sure if it is the design of the scale or if I merely received a defective unit, but after dealing with an unexpected shipping delay to simply get it in my hands, I am not going to chance exchanging it for another one. I am returning it for a refund and will search for another scale for my small measurement needs.
