This is one of those products that makes you wonder why the resources and effort were even made to manufacture it. The hardware is cheap - I ordered one and the threading on the rack was stripped for all the mounting bolts. Thinking I got unlucky with a defect I returned it and ordered another. The second one came with loose screws floating in the box and the tensioning plates were stripped and could not be tightened. On top of all of that, the aluminum is not sturdy.. I doubt this rack would last 5 minutes on single-track. Epic fail, Topeak.

This is one of the easiest racks I've ever put on one of my bikes.Loosen the screws, set it on the seat-stays, fasten the velcro, then tighten everything up. Done in 5 minutes.Strength-wise, the rack is fairly sturdy, but doesn't hold up well to being loaded to capacity on bumpy terrain. I've had issues with the velcro coming loose, as well as the screws backing off. It's fine for street use, or lightly loaded on bumpy terrain.

I bought a genesis incline mountain bike from Walmart. It has a rear suspension on it and I was having difficulty finding a rack that I could use with it. The tetra rack is perfect for this type of bike. Unfortunately there is an issue with the genesis incline that prevents the rack from sitting where it needs to sit. You can modify the bike by flipping the rear fork over however the rear shifter cable will need to be replaced. Other than that this is a great rack for your bike. Good product.

I like that they work well with suspension bikes. I do not like the removal and install process. The velcro is strong but its quite the finger workout to get them secure unless you remove the wheels from the bike.

I've always used seatpost clamp racks with full suspension bikes in the past, but that was not an option with my 29" electric MTB with a dropper post. This rack was the perfect solution and is MUCH more stable/sturdy than a seatpost rack. Installation was easy once I figured out the routing for the Velcro. Once installed, it stays perfectly centered over the rear tire and has never rubbed, even on extreme dirt descents. It fits the Specialized Levo perfectly. Nice big platform on top for a full-size trunk bag. Thanks for solving what has been an ongoing problem with full suspension bikes! Highly recommended!
