Good concept, but the design is obviously not up to American (as I think) standards. Engineering is off a few and extra tight to place over a true American battery post. You'll need to separate the lug and hope it doesn't Crack apart tightening up.

The DMTVAL Top Post Battery Disconnect Switch is a game-changer for my car. It’s super easy to install and makes cutting off the power quick and hassle-free. The build quality is solid, and it works exactly as advertised. Perfect for preventing battery drain when my car is not in use. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable power cut-off switch.

A straightforward installation, precisely what I required. This device enables me to deactivate the battery, ensuring its longevity over an extended period. This is an excellent alternative to the battery maintainer, as I lack an outlet nearby. If you aren’t concerned about the radio codes being erased when the battery is switched off, this will suffice. The installation and usage appear to be of high quality. To enhance protection, I have added corrosion-proof donuts to the terminals.

I got this to use on an RV that seems to be power hungry, even when not in use. I hooked it up to the coach batteries and use it to disconnect them from the system when not in use. This saves the batteries from getting excessively discharged and causing damage to them. I'm going to have to pick up a couple more for a few other idle vehicles I have.

Wife has a 2017 Santa Fe, and the battery is constantly going dead - a lot of wasted time getting jumps or waiting for AAA plus getting battery checked. Many online commenters blame the alternator; a few (including yours truly) suspect parasitic current draw. Quick check with a multimeter found a constant current draw of 0.1 to 0.2 Ampere when the engine is off. Rather than spending hundreds troubleshooting which black box is sucking juice from the battery, the cheaper option seemed to be getting this switch to isolate the battery from the electrical system when the vehicle is sitting still more than 4 hours. Since installing the switch, the battery is able to start the vehicle when the key is turned. Yeah, there is 30 seconds of popping the hood, switching on (or off), and hood closing, but boy it beats waiting 20 minutes for a good battery to happen by to jump start the car.The switch is awesome. Very robust for carrying current back to the negative terminal, and an easy-to-move, well marked on-off rotary switch. The only heartburn (and reason for -1 star) is that the clamp for the battery terminal consists of a bolt with a head that is slightly smaller than 14mm socket, and a nut that fits a 14mm socket - aggravating as heck when trying to tighten the hardware. So, if you have a 14mm socket and an adjustable wrench for hardware tightening, I can recommend this switch!
