So I actually work in the pressure, washer, sales and service industry. Commercial grade. Just laying a foundation so that you as a buyer will understand something here. When you see pressure washers, even in the 4 gallon a minute range at a place like Lowe’s, Home Depot, or northern tools, Sam’s or any other warehouse, etc. Even when you’re dealing with a very good Honda engine, you are still buying what is basically a homeowner’s grade piece of equipment. Those AAA brand pumps and the like, small electric machines, pretty much anything under 3 gallons a minute with a pump mounted on the bottom or on the side that has the soap injector, and the unloader built directly into the pump means you have what in the commercial sector would be a piece of trash pump. They simply cannot keep up with the man hours commercial use will put them to. One of the other common things were such washers. Is they have what it’s called a euro coupler. The screw on type of attachment where your hose and wand assembly all screwed together rather than using commercial grade quick connect couplers. This hose is ideal for the smaller machines, especially for a homeowner. A good commercial grade hose is easily replaceable and can even be repaired. This one cannot stand up to commercial daily use being drugged around everywhere and heavily scraped up and damaged, therefore removing the rubber coating from the hose. But if you like me, on one of the smaller units under 3 gallons a minute that use the euro coupler style of hose attachment, this hose reel and hose are great! You’re going to be washing here and there across the year on your weekends. And it will take you years to put the wear and tear on the machine that commercial used todo in months. The build on this is great for the price and in my case I have a quite nice place to mount it in my garage. The large rounded assembly you will see on the hose has a couple of purposes. First off it keeps the hose from getting consumed by the reel where you cannot easily use it. And also, it helps to keep the end of the hose from dragging on the ground and getting scraped up so that it is damaged.Again, this is not a commercial gray piece of equipment. But if you are using this, especially on a smooth floor shop, with a lower pressure of a smaller unit units. It is built for, this thing can last you quite a long time probably even with more regular use. I haven’t checked into what the process would be for getting a replacement hose on down the road, but as long as I’m careful with this and don’t leave it pulled out and have anyone running over it, I should be in pretty good shape to use this for years to come. The smaller non-commercial hose allows for all the footage to wrap on the reel very well. You will not have the option of removing the hose to put a larger commercial grade hose on this. It’s not going to be compatible with the connections available nor would you have any room for a decent length even 50 foot commercial grade. Anyways, again I found this very enjoyable to use the other day for its first “test flight.” if you’re a homeowner with a smaller unit or someone with your own personal small shop where you’re doing just some maintenance washing of your own equipment every now and then, I recommend giving this a go if this is the style/format hose you traditionally use.
