I have had my pool for over 20 years without any issues with my waterfall . 2 years ago we had the finish redone and the waterfall has not worked right since . Low of partial flow. I ordered and received the tool today. It took me about 5 minutes of using the tool and it’s completely fixed and working perfect !!If you are having issues with your waterfall , this is the gadget that works !!

Tool does what its says it does. If you have something stuck it where water flows it will get it out if the problem is past that it will not.

I am so glad I ran across this product. My waterfall hasn't worked like it should for quite some time, i.e., the waterfall wasn't coming out evenly and there were gaps in the flow. I tried a butter knife along with some other "tools" to try to get it working normally again, but those never worked. After using this tool, it helped me to remove some stones that were blocking the opening and it also helped smooth out the water flow. I was also able to get further into the waterfall since the tool is quite long and scrape some hard water deposits from the inside of the waterfall. Finally, the price seems reasonable for it being a purpose-built tool and it was shipped on time as well. It's nice being able to run my waterfall again and have it looking so nice!

I'm not sure this tool is necessarily meant to work with other sheer descent waterfalls. I have the CMP Natural Wonders waterfall. Because of the angle of my waterfall spout, this tool cannot reach very far in. So for me, it only clears the visible debris. It cannot reach debris hidden in the spout.

I have had a sheer descent water feature for over 10 years. I have tried various homemade solutions to keep the stream uniform. I have used sheet metal scrapers. sandpaper, and files to work the plastic slit. And wire to remove debris. There are two tools I feel work best: this one for removing debris, and a 4.5" diamond tile saw blade for keeping the slit opening uniform. The saw blade I use as a hand tool to roll across the slit, acting as a double-sided file. The Majestic cleaning tool works well to probe the entire invisible back end of the waterfall. It is thin enough to move freely, but thick enough that debris is actually pulled out. Use wire or thin metal and the debris may not be trapped and you can't pull it through. In a pool you are usually dealing with small bits of vegetable matter or plaster. I like that this tool is rigid and you can really feel around the internal structure of the waterfall to do a thorough cleaning. It is worth investing in this well made tool. The slot end is for breaking off the internal ribs, by the way. On my Jandy sheer descent, for example, the spacer ribs are supposed to be broken off 1" behind the opening. The price is very reasonable for a stainless steel tool which will last a very long time.
