I bought two of these whistles. What I wanted was compasses for my daughters to use when they went out into the wilderness. I thought that the whistle was a nice touch. Well, it turns out that that's all they are is whistles. The compasses are just junk. I even used a strong magnet to see if I could get the compass to read the magnet as north. It wouldn't even point to the magnet, no matter how I held the compasses.

I found myself in need of an emergency tool, especially when I go out hiking. This whistle Compas is extremely nice to have on you when going on longer hikes, especially when cell service might not be readily available. The whistle is extremely loud, and you do not need to blow that much air into it to get an audible whistle. The compass, however, while it does work fine, needs to be extremely steel and flat when trying to use it properly. As long as you’re aware of how to use a compass, and how to make it work effectively, this product is a must have for hikers.

When I first got the product, I liked the whistle, design, and compass included...however, I attached it to my keychain and the first drop of the keys and the compass popped out.Still a good whistle. I can say that feels and sounds solid.

I like having a rescue whistle and compass in my hiking bag! I'm happy to have this. It is very heavy-duty and rugged feeling.Loudness measures 89 dB at approximately 1 foot.

Looks just as pictured. Doesn't feel too heavy, and while light for the size and tough, it seems larger than necessary and could have been a tad shorter for the same performance.Biggest issue is the compass isn't always accurate. When rotating it horizontally while flat, it can be off as much as 45 degrees but on average its consistent. As long you take a few readings to double check, it should be fine. The whistle is unrestrictive, though I did not try hard as the pitch quickly became painfully high. It isn't the easiest to use, and I had to practice a bit to get the right position for sound to pick up.Came in a fitted padded tin and lanyard.Okay buy for those looking for a whistle and compass combo in durable titanium.

Great attention-getting whistle with a cute little compass as well. If you want to practice blow on it make sure you're outside because this thing is loud! I like the idea of a whistle over something like pepper spray because there are so many things that can go wrong with spray and the whistle is a great alert. I don't know how accurate the compass is, but it does point you in the general direction so I suppose that's good. Mostly it's just cute to have that feature as a design element more than anything else, but I guess if you were the type to wander in the woods it could also be helpful.
