No noise except a fine little sound of air going through the whistle. My dog doesn’t respond at all

The whistle is intact and works for the purposes intended. I do wish that as the photos and description had indicated that there were clips for adjustment. Mine were sent with full looped cord and not adjustment clip. I saw this happened to some other folks. Not the end of the world for a whistle but just disappointing for a buyer-seller perspective.

Very satisfied for the value of high decibless, 2 whistles, great colors, and under $8!

Read your state laws. I didn't know mine was if you're on the water and wear a pfd. Must have a whistle that can be heard a mile. So, I began my search found these and yeah they're very very loud. I have one of my pfd constantly and I've tested it to see how far the sound carries and i could be heard for quite a distance. I suggest for the price get them. They're bright and do work.

Great value, solid construction, no regrets. The attached lanyard is perfect length for a life vest (personal floatation device). We tied these close to our mouths so we could blow them even if our hands were incapacitated. This would also work on backpack (or hydration system) shoulder straps the same way. These were so inexpensive I was a little apprehensive at first. But we tested them out and they are LOUD. Even when full of water, they clear out fast and get LOUD.My only caveat is you have to blow pretty hard to get the full volume. If you have young children or folks with compromised lung function please test these out before you have to rely on them for safety. Thanks for reading through. I hope this helps you make a smart purchase!~Mahalo

Excellent safety product. Easy to use, lightweight but tough, brightly colored, and a loud, very audible whistle. Got this based on recommendations from a survival site that discussed the fact that a pea-less whistle (without the little metal ball that rolls around inside) is much safer for water use because it can get wet/submerged and still function.” We tested it out and it was perfect— no difference between wet or dry, plus it floated. Love this! We’ve attached it to our backpacking packs, hydration packs, and emergency kits. As an active outdoor family, this is a great tool to help us be prepared for whatever happens.

Have tried this whistle just once , you have to blow real hard for the sound to be heard loudly - however did not notice any ear shattering sound as indicated in some other reviews

I read a product review stating that these whistles aren’t very loud, and when I received the product I was inclined to agree. When i blew on the whistle it was very soft, almost muffled. However when my son (whom i bought it for, to wear on his life jacket) blew it, it was plenty loud. There is a slight trick to get the loud sound. For most whistles you would purse your lips and put them as close to the end of the whistle as possible, being careful not to get too close to the air hole at the top. Not so with these whistles! To get the loudest sound, you actually need to put your lips as close as possible to the air hole without covering it. I think that is why this is a great whistle for my 6 and 7 year old sailors. They don’t have the finesse to be careful where to put their lips. They just clamp on and blow and it works perfect. And the price is right with two whistles in the box. Happy with my purchase.

- Small and low-profile plastic whistles.- A belt clip is integrated into the design, but I'm not planning on using this feature as I'm worried how well it would hold up to use. Probably great if the whistle is intended for emergencies and would only be removed from a strap or belt in an emergency.- The wrist lanyard is long enough for my fat wrists. Woot!!!- Seems loud enough.- Bright colors make it very easy for me to find in a pack.
