Brand is inconsistent! I bought some Olympic dumbbells in the past that are very nice and on the end of the collar they have the Titan emblem and then I bought and easy curl bar no emblem and recently the trap bar which wasn’t the cheaper on and also no Titan emblem on the collars and on the frame it does have a cheap sticker and was put on wrong! So much money for this. I love the brand but I might not purchase again!

This is a great trap / hex bar. I searched for a long time for a trap bar that fits standard (1" hole) weights and finally found it. This product page does not indicate this, but if you look it up the Titan website, it will confirm. It also fits Olypic (2" inch hole) plates. The larger Olympic sleeves simply slide off after you undo a screw.I've been using this for three years now and I have zero complaints. Using 50 lb plates you could get this thing loaded up to 550. Even just using 25 lb plates you should be able to get it up to 350 as long as the plates aren't thicker than normal. The knurling on the handles is pretty sharp, which is a good thing, imo, bc it gives better grip. One thing to note is that the handles do sit closer to the ground than what is typical for most trap bars, by probably 1-3 inches. This is not really a problem, per se, but just something to keep in mind, esp if you are a lifter who has trouble getting deep down for a deadlift.

I was a bit leery on buying this product because of the shaky reviews this has received as well as others like this particular trap bar. As others have mentioned, the packaging was not the best by any stretch. Loose pieces and no protection in a box that was rather beat up. However, all the pieces or accounted for. It did take some time to put together, but wasn't difficult. So far it seems to be holding up well and I will say that a lot of my members really like this bar. We'll see how things hold up in the long run. It's only been about a month or so.

Should Loc-Tite be a structural member?ALL assembly required. (I'm surprised a welder isn't required.)
