It can’t chip any wood that’s 4” diameter. The chipper is built for a maximum 2 1/2” diameter piece,4” pieces wedge themselves making it impossible to continue feeding.unless you modify it like I had to. It needed a divider installed in the middle so when the piece is 4”it stays where it won’t get wedged

Have purchased 4 items from this company and HAD (keyword) great service from them on some questions and even missing parts or incorrect hydraulic connections that was my mistake.Purchased the chipper for an upcoming small landscaping job and was really looking forward to using it, turns out it jams up the chute after only 4-5 small limbs with leaves. (Above photo is looking at the bottom of chipper chute discharge) All the limbs were 1in or smaller and apx. 3ft. long. After calling 2 days in a row someone finally called me back 10 days later. After multiple photos and 2 videos emailed at the reps request, I’m still waiting on a reply just over 6mo later! I was…. very happy with Titan Attachments and considering I am from Nashville and they are in Memphis (150 miles away) was really excited to provide work for fellow Tennessean's. Can only praise the men and women doing the physical hands on work because customer service has severely turned this Tn. Customer off of the products!

I need a chipper for my little BX1880, I was worried it might be underpowered for the task given the requirements on Titan's website, however it works great with this. I figured I'd not try bigger sizes of wood if it became and issue, but I'm happy to say this thing devours wood that is probably larger than 4", it will bog the BX down a little on stuff bigger than 3" but it comes right back for more. The quality of this BX42 is a good, everything is heavy weight steel. Overall the unit is really beefy and you will need to get creative to get it out of the shipping crate. Once you get it out, setup isn't bad, however it doesn't even come with a manual. Also I had parts scattered about, they for the most part put the bolts in their respective holes, but those don't always stay. I was missing a few parts. The manual on their website is very bad, its full of useless instructions that don't make sense. Some sections are repeats of the previous section, like no one actually proof read this at all. It really seems like someone just ran it through google translate. You are really left to just following the parts diagrams and/or watching a few youtubes. If this is your first three point attachment, you'll also need to learn how to cut and measure your PTO shaft. I probably had 3-4 hours in from getting the crate from the top of my driveway to ready to go. You will absolutely need to go through this thing and tighten all bolts, mine had a few ones that were loose. The factory grease that comes in it resembles vaseline so you probably want to flush that out as well. That said, once you fire it up and start throwing wood in it and watching nice mulch come out the other side, all the previous hassles disappear. The thing devours branches, pretty much rips them out of your hands. If you pile up your wood, you might be able to keep up with it if you hustle. For me it was filling a 12 cubic foot cart about every 20 minutes.

I have had this chipper for 3 years and run thousands of limbs through it, pine, oak, walnut, poplar, etc. It has paid for itself many times over in saved rental fees. People having issues with this chipper haven’t properly adjusted the knife spacing or they are running with too little tractor.

Used for about 15 minutes and the sheer bolt broke and pulled out the threads on a 2” dried out limb. You can see the pile of chips in the picture, that was first use. Tried contacting customer service and they gave me the traditional line of bs that it’s designed to do that and that the wood was too wet or the tractor rpm was too high. Neither was the case and I would not recommend this product. Not worth the money.

I just received the chipper yesterday. 3 of the wire tie downs were broke so some heavy parts were shifting around, thus a lot of worn paint and wear marks. The hopper hardware fell out but were captured in the shrink wrap. I guess out of the gate I’m a bit surprised at all of this when the rig is fully protected by a steel frame. Just appears to be careless shipping preparation.I’ll update this once it’s together and working. But at a glance it’s going to take some time. The torque specs in the manual are at the bottom and based on the hw not their location. Best thing Ive seen is to watch the gentleman’s video out on the internet who walks you through setting this thing up.
