If you install tint, this is a must have tool to have in your disposal. Most cars nowadays have a certain amount of tint from the factory, and if your are trying to stay legal, you must know the starting tint before you add your own. With this tool, you are going to make sure that you stay within legal limits, or to make sure that the tint you applied is doing as it says it does

If you need to measure tint, whether to check if car windows are legal, or designing a house, this is a handy little gadget to do so! It came with everything needed, including a storage bag to easily carry it around. It also comes with all the batteries you need, and runs on easily replaceable AAA. As soon as you place this over your glass, you'll see all the measurements you'd need come up. While it's hard to judge how accurate this is, I think it should be, and gives peace of mind making sure your car windows are legally in line. It's a bit pricey to buy for one use, but if you work with a lot of cars, it seems like a great tool to have.

This window tint meter arrived in nondescript, albeit spectacular packaging which ensured absolute safe passage for the contents inside. The purchase includes two AA batteries and a carrying case which makes storage and portability easier for the owner. Using the tint meter is a turn-key experience as you're basically turning it on, stick the window to be measured in the gap of the meter, and reading the display. I plan on replacing my window tints this summer and want to make sure that the tints ordered conform to that of my State's regulations. It's also priced quite competitively in the marketspace so I'd add value to its ease of use and accuracy to its list of strengths. 5 out of 5 stars.

I have tested this for window tint and it is amazing, fast, perfect readings, why waste money on a more expensive unit if this works perfect!!

This tint meter works well and appears to be accurate based on the level of tint I know is on my vehicle windows. This meter can only slide down the edge of the glass to get a reading so it can't do a windshield or rear window but those meters are available if that's what you need. For me it's peace of mind to know exactly what the authorities would come up with if they tested my windows. Be sure to test from both sides of the tint to see that the readings are slightly different. This meter isn't cheap, but sometimes you get what you pay for.
