Has 4 ways to use. Thus timer has clip, magnet, hang on hook hole, or can just be sat on counter. Loud beep when time is up and easily to see. Takes triple A battery which should last for long time. Very affordable and great sticking stuffer.

These timers stop working intermittently; I will start the timer and when it does not beep when I expect it to, I look to see the display is blank and the timer has gone to sleep. The magnet sticks to metal surfaces just fine, but you can't push the start/stop button without the whole timer rotating, causing the magnet to let go. Save your money and buy a different brand.

It does what a timer is supposed to do. However, the magnet is attached to it's "kickstand". It's annoying that the kickstand snaps open and shut when removing it from a magnetic surface. I have no use for the kickstand, and can see it breaking at some point. Bottom line, it does what it's supposed to do. If the hinge breaks, I have another seeing that they were two to a package.

These timers are pretty basic, but were just what I needed for a coffee shop application where simplicity and ease of use is needed. The display is minutes/ seconds, two digits each, so it has a maximum of 99 minutes, 59 seconds. Countdown from an entered time or countup from zero is easily done. The timer can be set up with the hinged clip to stand it up on a counter, or the magnet on the clip can be used to hold the timer to a metal surface. There's also a hinged hanger on the clip to hang the timer from a hook/ screw/ nail. The magnet is strong enough to hold the timer securely, but not too strong to make it difficult to relocate. The display is large (1-7/8 x 3/4") with clear to read black numbers. The AAA battery holder is secure. When the timer goes off, either an audible alarm or a small blue LED light will be triggered. The interface is simple with three-button with MIN, SEC, and START/STOP. To clear the timer, press the MIN and SEC buttons simultaneously. Overall, this looks to be a good general timer with an intuitive interface and looks fairly rugged.

These are cheaply made but do the job. Parts have already fallen off of them but the digital part is functional. I don't like that they turn off when they aren't actively timing. It saves battery life, but its awkward when you set the timer and have to wait to start it. It doesn't take away from the function, it just makes it difficult when you take time to pause between setting and starting the timer like I often do in class.
