I was starting to feel like Goldilocks of the timers, but this one ended up being perfect. Large numbers, nice big buttons, loud timer bell, simple to set. And as a bonus it really matches my stainless steel appliances.

This digital timer is large, with intuitive design that makes it very easy to use. The display is also easy to read, and the alarm fairly loud, sufficient for a senior with moderate hearing loss to hear.I got this for my elderly mom for use to time her exercises. She has arthritis of the hand that make it difficult to use her fingers effectively, but it was very easy for her to use this timer and its buttons.

This is such a nice timer, the magnet is super strong, the memory works perfectly, you can easily hear it ring and I like the colored buttons I chose. I didn't really want this larger size, but when I looked over to see how much time was left, I was impressed at the size and clarity of the numbers. I don't get excited and impressed often and I never write reviews but this is totally worth the money. You get what you pay for. I just returned a cheap 2 pack for half the money, what garbage. The magnet was so weak it slid down with the battery in it, the numbers were much smaller, it wasn't very loud and the memory was always lost after it went to sleep.

This timer is simple, easy to use, and solid. The numbers are large enough to read from a good distance. It’s not cheap feeling at all and I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality for such an inexpensive timer. Life time warranty too. I bought the gray/ gray one. I spent hours here looking at different timers and am very picky about products that get a lot of use and I will need for a long time. Super nice timer.

I bought this timer about 3 months ago and have been using while cooking, baking, and exercising. It truly is a fine product. The timer has a quality appearance to it. It fits in the palm of your hand, is easy to read display; easy to operate; has a strong magnet that lets it be positioned on any steel surface (stove, refrigerator, vent hood), has a fold-out stand that lets it sit on a counter top; and has a loud (attention getting but not smoke-alarm-loud) sound when the timing is finished. I rarely write reviews, and I only write them after using a product for a reasonable period of time. I was really impressed with this well-designed timer and would not hesitate buying it again for my personal use or as a gift.

I purchased this after being disappointed with the durability and inaccuracy of the mechanical kitchen timers. I currently use it for timing the brewing of tea, as I often get distracted and let it brew longer than I intended. This design is sleek, elegant, and easy to use. My stainless steel refrigerator doors are not magnetic, but fortunately the side of the refrigerator protrudes from the enclosure by 3 inches, just enough for this 2 1/2 inch wide kitchen timer. I snug the vertical edge up against the frame of the enclosure to keep it from rotating on pressing the buttons; although the magnet is strong enough for the timer not to move up or down, due to textured surface of the side of the refrigerator with slick paint, it may allow more movement than a flat, more maté finish would. The alarm is loud enough to hear in the same room, but I find if it's in the kitchen and I go into another room, maybe 20 feet away from the kitchen entrance, it it is hard to hear over ambient noises such as air-conditioning or fans, let alone, I imagine, if one were watching television. So I may keep it in it's place on the refrigerator and set the time there, but I will probably take it with me when using it if I leave the kitchen.* I have noticed with some battery devices of this type with electronic beeps, alarm clocks and such, that the volume of the beep can vary from one unit to the next of the same device. I wonder if that's the case here. I haven't used the stand much yet, but it seems to work well.* Although the magnet protrudes from the back of the case about a millimeter, allowing a small air space between the alarm speaker near the top of the back side, above the magnet, and the surface to which it attaches, it still seems to muffle the beep somewhat (although it doesn't seem to be much louder if the stand is used). I have found an idiosyncratic solution that may only work in certain circumstances, but by turning the timer sideways so the top portion with the speaker extends past the side of the refrigerator where the door hinge is and lies over the space between the side and the door where the rubber seal is, the resonant space effectively doubles the volume of the beep, so I can now hear it in the other room. If that area of your refrigerator isn't assessable, on designs with two front doors it has been found that placing the speaker area over the gap between the two front doors, if they are magnetic, also increases the sound volume, perhaps depending on the design of the refrigerator. When using the stand, I have found placing the timer up against a wall, or the side of a square cookie or sugar jar, for example, also increases the volume, but not as much as the refrigerator gap.Update:I have periodically tried to find things that will help amplify the beep, and I just discovered that If you put the timer in the inverted rounded cover of the case which Clinique soap bars come in, with the top of the timer inside, the cover will rock on its side so the timer is basically horizontal and this roughly doubles the volume of the beep, similar to the method of using the gap between the side of the refrigerator and the door.

This isn't the cheapest option as far as simple timers go, however, it is an easy favorite among a sea of many not-quite-right options.I was looking to replace an egg timer I bought years ago, on a whim, from Radio Shack. That egg timer lasted longer - so much longer - than I ever thought ANY inexpensive timer would last, and I was set on finding a near exact replacement. Hours of searching and reading reviews later, I determined I simply could not find a twist timer that seemed to meet the reliability and simplicity that my beloved RS timer brought me (reliably since the 1990s!!!).I decided to settle on two timers - one to magnetically stick above my stove that would set quickly and be easy to read (this one), and another more complex Kitchenaid timer that I could theoretically use indoors and outdoors for my green egg and other hardy uses. Long story short, after using this gorgeous timer, I returned the other and haven't looked back. The design is simple, but the unique combination of its easy-to-read display, its ridiculously simple-to-set design and its durability and portability has given it (dare I say) a "je ne sais quoi" that has made me forget all about the ugly old egg timer. The magnet is excellent; it easily sticks to the stainless display above the stove, but it also easily slips into a pocket if wanted. The alarm is loud enough to hear from a distance without being annoying. Yes, it starts to count up again once the alarm goes off. Yes, the buttons have a satisfying click as you press them. Yes, you can hold down the buttons to make things go faster.Best timer to date. Definitely worth the extra couple bucks I paid over the other options. Really lovely. Can't believe I wrote such a long review about a timer.
