Works as advertised. Does not provide a lot of support for the thumb.

I have tried most of the various braces for CMC joint pain and this is the first one I haven't wanted to take the scissors to and remodel it so that it works to provide pain relief. Amazing! It''s so simple yet hits all the right spots to provide gentle yet firm support to relieve pain. I am grateful!

I measured my wrist and it is 6", so I ordered a small. I also have small hands so I thought a small would be fine. But it is way too small. I was able to get the braces on each hand with a fight. But the compression felt nice. But 5 minutes later my hands started to tingle, the circulation was being cut off and I couldn't get them off so I had to cut the braces off. Now I can't return and I have wasted my money.

The wrist is way too tight but the thumb area is way too lose and doesn't provide any support at all from the top of the thumb down the side of my thumb where it is actually needed. I was hoping to get away from my multiple strap velcro brace but this thing doesn't help at all.

These don't look like much when you get them...they're small and thin and look like they aren't going to hold up at all, and that they are too light to do much good. I was very skeptical when opened the package. After a week of wearing them every time I was using a keyboard or my cell phone, (so pretty much all day every day) I'm ready to give a fair review. I'm a "senior" female who has had many HARD jobs in her life, and my hands and wrists show it. I have no been officially diagnosed with Carpel Tunnel or Tendonitis ( it could be either or both) but I do have pain and some weakness in my wrists and thumbs, especially after some time on the keyboard, and even more when I use my phone to play games. ( so I kind of deserve it for participating in those giant time-sucks) These really do provide light but firm support, and they have noticeably reduced the pain while I'm wearing them, but there also seems to be some residual effect because wrist pain when I flex my wrist in my sleep isn't waking me up at night now. ( I don't wear them to bed. Yet.) They are comfortable to wear all day; the fabric is light and breathable and is somehow both stretchy and not. Getting them on and off is a bit of a challenge, but practice makes that easier...they have to be a little tight to do the job. I have fairly large paws for a woman, and my wrists measure exactly 6.5 inches, so I could have gone with either medium or small. I went with small, because I figured that tighter would be good for such lightweight looking supports. It was definitely a chore to get those tiny things over my big mitts the first time but they do relax a tiny bit with use and washing....not a ton, but a little. When I wear this pair out I may try the mediums just to see if they work as well and are a bit easier to get off and on. Oh and as for washing? I work with my hands in "none-to-clean" situations since I live on a farm, so washing them is a must! I've taken two approaches to this: if they get skanky pretty early in the day, I just leave them on and wash my hands like normal...that way I get the surface grime off, and they dry quickly while I'm wearing them. I've also washed them out in the bathroom basin with mild soap and hung them to dry overnight and that works well too...I have not noticed any shrinkage from washing, but I certainly would NOT put them in a dryer! Overall I'm quite pleased with these, and I have tried any number of other styles of wrist supports that did nothing positive, were bulky, hot, were very hard to put on. For me anyway, they actually do help so I'd certainly recommend trying them if other supports haven't worked for you, or just if you are starting to feel some problems and would like to try something inexpensive and comfortable that provides light/medium support, you could sure do worse. then giving these a try.

With an approximate wrist measurement of just over 6", I got the small and it fits snugly. It's thin and lightweight, but while it appears to be well made, I question how long it will hold up. I'm also not sure how much support it actually provides. I think it serves more as a reminder to watch what you grip if you have thumb issues. I wish I'd gone with the longer version but totally missed that on ordering. I believe that would have provided better support.

I have osteoarthritis in both CMC joints, the right being worse than the left. I finally saw an Ortho specialist and got a steroid shot in my right thumb. We were discussing braces and I complained that all of the supports and braces I have were very bulky with the splints and multiple velcro straps and actually made my hand stiff after wearing them for a couple of hours. She said they recommend softer and more flexible braces for extended support. I bought a pair of these and immediately put them in my "mistake purchases" because they seemed so flimsy. But after wearing them, I changed my mind. They provide just enough light compression and support to make a big difference during the day. I can wear them all day and even sleep with them with no issues at all. I have washed them once with no problems. I did purchase a couple of more pairs for backups and a different set with more support to wear for yard work and longer drives. Highly recommended!

I so badly needed this to work for arthritis in my right thumb/wrist. I measured my wrist and bought the recommended size, It compresses nicely at the bottom of the wrist and at the thumb knuckle (not where I need support), but where I need the support (at the base of the thumb) there is no compression. Going down in size would make it too tight. Disappointing.EDIT: My review was based on my initial try-on of the product, just slipping it on my hand. When the company contacted me and offered a refund, I accepted it. BUT I decided to give it another try and wear it for 24 hours. I realized I was wrong about it when I took if off after 24 hours. The brace provides just enough gentle compression to keep me from being constantly in pain at the basal joint of my thumb. I retract my above review and say that this could be the answer for someone who needs gentle compression for basal joint arthritis. It's low profile, lightweight, and can get wet. As long as it works, I hopefully can avoid surgery on that hand. I have contacted the company and asked them to cancel the refund.
