My old gelding has very white hind feet and seems to get more thrush and skin irritation than my dark horse. The pasture is very wet throughout the summer and into fall, which makes it impossible to keep feet and legs clean or dry.I rinse off his legs and feet regularly and put him in dry stall at night to try to keep his skin and hooves dry and reduce irritation. The thrush dust seems to help keep a barrier or something from the skin getting inflamed. And seems to reduce thrush in his frogs. It’s easy to apply and get worked into the smallest nooks and crannies. The powder does not seem to irritate his skin, and seems to visibly improve his skin keeping it less red and sore.Overall I think this is a worthwhile product for horses or animals that spend a good amount of time in wet conditions.

For years I have used the infamous foul smelling, sticky green goop to treat thrush in my horses feet. I decided to try this as a less messy alternative. It seems to work well and my horses have no complaints. :)

When i got it and read the bottle it apparently has multiple uses and not just for thrush! It is good for a lot and not just the feet. A good thing to keep in your first aid for your horses. The bottle is slightly smaller, just read the description it matches that I just didnt read the description, but it should last a few uses or more depending on the need and size of horse.

Well, I brought this to my farrier appointment today since my mare does not currently have thrush and asked him. He has never heard of all these ingredients for thrush, but he also read off the ones on the Durasole bottle and said pretty much all of them are either quite caustic or carcinogenic. You can safely apply this product without gloves or a mask but other brands are not meant to get on your skin (The purple stuff, for example)Just to make sure, I did a Google search on zinc sulfate and zinc oxide and both report good results for treating thrush. So, this looks like it will be much friendlier to her tissue and to me when applying it. When my farrier told me about other people's home/natural remedies for thrush that work, this seems to hit the mark so I'm excited to try it on my horse, or a barnmate's horse soon. The bottle is well constructed and should be easy to apply.I will update if I run into any troubles, but it looks like this will be a great option to the purple stuff!

I used this for treating some thrush but it's a little difficult to apply. I found it worked well so if you're having issues with thrush give this a try.

Horse has heel cracks- this has helped to dry out up in cracks. Alittle problem with powder dispensing out of top- had to cut top bigger opening to dispense powder into hoof cracks.

This product smells nice and seems to do a good job treating thrush in the hooves. I would be interested to see how this powder works in heavy rains but for now the powder sticks well.

My horse's have been battling thrush for s while now. I tried turns buster and thrush rid and it just wouldn't go away! I was greatly skeptical about this product being a powder (and natural ingredients) but gave it a shot anyway. You have to cut the tip of the tube so that the product will come out. Squeezing sometimes doesn't release the powder, so I often just shake it up and down and the powder will come out.Despite a "strange" smell (it's the herbs in there) my horse's did not mind it. I have been putting this on my horse's hooves for 5 days now and within the first few days, a few hooves were already clear of thrush! Finally! Very happy that this product is not only safer for my horse's, but it is actually working!
