Wanted one of these for a long time. Tired of guessing on what bolt or nut I need and what thread they require, running to the hardware store only to try and find one of these bolt checkers to get a match, however now I can do it at home!This is a quality heavy duty metal unit, will definitely last, and it is well marked and very easy to find the size and thread you need, wish I would of had this years ago, very happy with the thread checker, every garage should have one.

I am one of those that is lousy at housekeeping. I have screws, bolts, nuts in those plastic boxes without any idea of size and when actually working on project I regret it every time to find the right size. Secondly the family and friends that use them don't help much either. The same can be said about drill bits and allen wrenches.So I'm finally working on getting better organized during the cooler fall. This helps me with all the above that sits in tool shelves in a mish mash of unorganized mess. It's well made and not cheap in terms of construction and design. Have started to use it and will have to buy storage/drill holder by size products to finally organize the mess after years of neglect. Worth the price.

This thing is so cool and I've already needed to use it within the first couple of days. I essentially am always needing to know what size bolt that I have or don't have and need to get and I used to just show up at Home Depot with a vague image in my mind of what size bolt I need. And then one day I saw their bolt board and felt really stupid. I also felt stupid when I saw this because I asked myself why I didn't think of making one of these myself? And here somebody did it already and reminded me of how I do not always use grey matter to think; that sometimes I employ the substance in my bowels and think with that. But this thing is outrageously cool it has bolt sizes for both metric and American and goes pretty small to fairly large at 3/4 in bolt. I had this little bolt that I was going to need to know what diameter it was to order more online and I was like yes! That sizing board will work and it was too small for the 4mm smallest metric hole and then I tried it in the American and it was a perfect 6/32. I would have never known what size it was without a trip to Home Depot and without this board. And this potentially could happen at every project where I'm going to need more or same size replacements of hardware and I'm going to need to know what size these random bits are to an exact degree. It also differentiates between fine and coarse threads which also can be essential knowledge. Another great feature is that it's a solid plate of anodized aluminum and four rubber feet. I'm used to seeing calipers and stuff in peoples garages or mechanic space but for some reason this board is just cool looking and impressive to see and feel and I don't think are very common. The centimeters on one side and inches on the other is also a good visual thing to see because for me I can never remember how big a centimeter is.

Love that this has both standard and metric measurements on it. There have been several times we've had to run to the hardware store unsure of which we need to match the project were working on. It's really wonderful to have this at home and be able to figure it out before we go and not have to wait for a chance to use the worn out board at the hardware store.
