I have so much stuff at home that periodically need repair. From wheelchairs, to rollators, to other basic household items. So basically, no more guessing what size of screw or bolt you are missing. Or no more having to take the screw or bolt to your local hardware store to compare or check on their thread checkers. I've lost screws and bolts that way. Anyways, this is a must have if you do a lot of repairs.

You get a set of thread gauges, little combs that try to fit among your mystery threaded fastener's threads. One comb will, and the marking on that gauge will tell you the threading.You also get a rather big board of sample bolts (yes, actual pieces of threaded rod) and companion threaded holes to try to screw your mystery threaded fastener in for testing. Comparing your threaded fastener to the samples can get you close when you stack them, and try to mesh their threads side-by-side. Be careful when you try to screw your mystery fastener into a marked, threaded test hole. If you found the correct hole, but don't screw your mystery fastener in properly, you will destroy the reference threads in the board from cross-threading and not even realize you made a match. And if you find a close-enough-but-not-exact test hole, you may think you have a fit but may destroy that test hole because the match really isn't perfect. You may even encounter coarse and fine versions of the same thread size, and they are different. Look carefully for the match, and go slowly, using very little force, when screwing your mystery fastener into a threaded test hole.The test board is surprisingly large. The gauges are tiny. You will at least be able to identify your mystery fastener's size and thread the first time you try. If you did so carefully, you may be able to do so again on subsequent tries and fasteners. Enjoy!

This will save you time if you have a scrap bin of old bolts and nuts in your shop. Makes figuring out the thread size and length easy.

This tool consists of a massive nut and bolt thread checker, an anodized aluminum plate~17" x 4" x 3/16" thick weighing several pounds with 14 metric and 14 imperial (TPI) studs sticking out of it and next to each stud the matching threaded hole.This will very accurately and quickly identify any unknown nut or bolt.The second part of this set is a standard form folding pitch gauge that seems to be an afterthought made from whatever they had lying around. It is very inconsistently pictured and described.In the listing picture it shows a pitch gauge with two fanned out sections of 29 blades each presumably one metric and one inch though what markings can be seen in the listing appear to be all metric and the thread pitches go up and down in coarseness inconsistently.As delivered the pitch gauge has two pivots and 3 sections, one section having 24 metric blades, one section having 28 blades marked as Whitworth gauge numbers, and a thin center section holding just 6 imperial TPI blades with many of the most common sizes missing.The nut and bolt checker studded plate will be very useful if you have the space for it.The pitch gauge looks good for metric sizes but not for Imperial TPI unless and until I can figure out what Whitworth G corresponds to and remark each blade.Worth the price for the nut and bolt checker plate. Consider the pitch gauge just a free extra.
