Through my years of experience as an angler in fresh and salt water environments, I’ve been through many trials and tribulations with braided lines. I’ve tried so many brands that I can’t even remember them all. And I’ve experienced extreme disappointment, all of the way to high satisfaction in doing-so. So, I’m going to tell you exactly how it is with this brand and spool of braid that I received. This is cheaper braid. The price-point matches the quality. I use Beyond Braid as my cheapest level of braid (and I rarely do at that) because I just have some spools left over from past purchases from way back when. This stuff here isn’t any better. I ordered it with low expectations hoping that I may end up pleasantly surprised, but it only met those lower expectations. This braid is coarse, and it’s thick; I couldn’t even get all 328 yards on an 8000 sized (Dr.Fish/Haibo Poleax Saltwater Spinning Reel) reel. It’s like micro-twine, and it did not pack on well. The residual color dust/debris that was left on my fingers and eyelet were surprisingly at a minimum, though, even when compared to higher end Power Pro. And I didn’t catch any notable memory as it came off of the spool. It does have strength to it. It’s not useless by any means, and you absolutely can and will catch fish with it. I truly believe that it meets, or comes close to 40 lbs. braid breaking strength. It has limitations, though. Even with 40 lbs. beyond braid, I can fling a Mag Popper a mile. The distance I can cast a Mag Popper with this stuff (when using the same rod and reel combo) is not impressive. There were areas that I knew I could routinely get my lure into with other braids, but not with this stuff. And I really haven’t noticed it perform any better than any other braids when comparing its abrasion resistance. The thickness of the line catches the wind far more significantly than my other lines, which can become a big problem in the wrong circumstances. And the way that the colors blend into a ‘camo’ pattern on the spool just were not very…effective; the proper fading into the next color really isn’t there, and I even have one abnormally long stretch of straight blue line.If you’re looking for budget braid, hey, you’ve found it. Again, it will work. It will catch fish. And it is cheaper. But you’re going to experience performance problems. I guess I would say that if I didn't have the funds for higher grade braid, this would be something that I would purchase.Ever since I just bit the bullet and switched over to high grade braids like Seaguar (check out their PEX8 Micro braid), Nomad, certain Power Pro, etcetera, I’ve fully realized how important it is. Much like fluorocarbon leaders; I stepped up to Seaguar Gold, Blue, and Inshore brands, and it has helped drastically.Just set your expectations right when ordering this stuff (should you decide to), and you’ll still be happy. If you’re a snob like I’ve grown to be, I suggest staying away from it.I would like to thank Amazon for allowing me to be a part of their Vine program. My reviews are unbiased, honest, and sincere in an effort to provide you (the customer) with the information you may need in choosing this product or not, and I hope that is what my review accomplishes for you.I would also like to thank the seller “Thornsline” for providing me this product as an Amazon Vine member. Although it is obviously not my favorite, I do look forward to owning it, and it will be getting some use and exposure to other potential buyers throughout its life with me. Thanks again and I wish you success in your endeavors.

The ThornsLine Force braided fishing line is well-made and has held up pretty well after my second fishing trip. The line went on my spinning reel easily and I don't have the line memory found in mono. The braid peels off smoothly and I have yet to have any type of issue with birds nest or tangles. I fish very clear water and and I love that the color blends well. Very happy with the strength of the ThornsLine braid and the price.
