I got these strings yesterday. Tried to put them on my instrument. I was only winding the A string onto my peg and it broke. I repeat: I was just spinning the string onto my peg and it broke. It was nowhere near the tension it needs to be in tune. I've never had this experience with be Thomastik strings before in my 10 years of playing viola. very disappointing.

They are advertised for up to 16.5 in but they are the short scale model. Something to keep in mind before ordering.

The strings have a brighter sound vs Dominant Thomastic and are much more powerful, fuller, richer sound when playing soft or loud. The playability and feal are wonderful! Love at first try! You will definantly say WOW! when you first try them! If you like Dominant, you will love these!
