The "Like New" string I purchased had sharp angles to it. Definitely not like new. It snapped right away.

I replaced the string, it broke at the ball while tightening. I put the old string back on until the replacement came. The replacement broke about 2 days after being strung, while not being played. The replacement now is taking a while to get. It seems like a bad lot of strings. Never got replacement or refund.

Purchased from Atlantic Strings Florida.A frequent recurring problem, since I used full Zyex strings, was the A string. Always found it to be too bright and powerful, even shrill at times. Case and point is it Zyex A felt like a terrible fit for my instrument.Now here is the Dominant A. First thing is they do not contain the same power as Zyex A and the tone appears to be thinner. The best way I can describe it (to Zyex A) is restrained. The tone is less complex and overbearing which, quite frankly, I'd say is somewhat inferior. However it's easier to see the color your instrument applies on the sound and from it I learned Zyex are actually too dark for it. Low notes project nicely but it severely lacks clarity and seems ready to choke on fast passages. The "speak" might be closer to a cello which is too slow for such a small instrument.
