I bought the sliding ladder kit before they came with the brake wheels. The wheels were great except when you got on the ladder away you would go. The wheels with the brake works perfectly and make the ladder much safer.

I made a library ladder a few years ago and all the hardware options did not have brakes. Or they were not available to ship to Canada, or they were ridiculously over priced. I was able to get these to Canada and they make my ladder a lot safer. The brakes are great - they are super secure and don't move at all. It made my library ladder experience go from an adventure to something a little more tame.
