Would purchase again. Only used once so far. Very easy to attach to extension ladder which seem to made it a lot more stable at higher elevation. Able to lean without feeling like the ladder was going to fall over.

Just received the stabilizer today. Took about 10 minutes to install on my extension ladder, super easy. The materials are very strong. Worked great so I clean my gutters. We just had new gutters installed so I didn't want to scratch them. The stabilizer made my ladder feel very secure, wish I had got this years ago!

My house has a wide overhang and a slate roof. The safest way onto the slate roof for inspection and repairs is via the flat roof over the back porch, where new gutters were recently installed. This standoff works well to keep the ladder off the gutter on the flat roof and it was inexpensive compared to some of the others.I carefully followed the attachment instructions to put the u-bar under the top ladder rung and on the outside of the ladder side piece so it can't slide off the top of the ladder. However, with this method, it would be possible for the u-bar (and stand-off) to slide down to the next ladder rung. I mean it's tight and feels secure, but I wonder about this. Am considering purchasing a second set of u-bars to attach around the stand-off and the top rung of the ladder. 4 stars because I think it should have an attachment to make sure the stand-off cannot go up or down.

Excellent design and very sturdy. Simple to install on my extension ladder. Several inches of clearance provided from the gutters on my 12 :12 pitched metal roof. Doesn't mark the black metal roof because it has suitable rubber feet on the ends of the stabalizer bar. Don't need any assistance at all stabilizing the ladder with this device. No instability at all . Highly recommend. 10 out of 10.
