I bought this for my 65 Chevy C10 that would always be able to make a trip to local stores. However, as soon as I came out of the store and tried to turn the truck on, she wouldn’t click at all. Finally got around to installing this and I no longer worry about coming out and being stuck waiting for a good bit. This did cover a larger starter by the way and it fit with ease. Just gotta place the clips in the right location and you’ll be fine.

fits rite.easy installation.no clue on quality and durability i just started using it, however it seems a bit slower on revolutions to ignition ( maybe) i find it about 6 to start .theirs no such need for review of heat output nor adhesion ,their is none

This heat shield prevents the starter from getting too hot, which helps the starter last longer.

I have an old classic car, and the starter is really close to the exhaust manifold. It was always getting too hot (the starter)and this took care of the problem.

Still had the same problem with the RV. This did not fix my hot soaked chevy 454 starter issue. Wrapping the exhaust with header tape did the trick!
