To get this to work, first, remove as much algae from glass and decor as possible. Next, thoroughly vacuum the gravel. Then do a 25% water change. Do one dose, 1 tablet per 10 gallons, then wait 12 hours and add a second dose. Probably won't get rid of all the algae but will get rid of enough to make it manageable.

This is an amazing product. I had an algae bloom for weeks, couldn't get rid of it. Used this and within two days my water was crystal clear and has stayed that way. Great value for the money. All my fish are striving, safe for all. You get eight tablets. Size is perfect.

This is my fault I did not read the small print but it did kill all my black algae and my fish were great ... Down side is I have an entire tank of live plants and they are slowly dying unfortunately! But it does say on the package in small print not for live plants !! I am doing water changes and cleaned filters so hopefully that stops it ...really is a great product just needed to really read the entire package.
