This displays the* dry bulb temperature on top line with green function and unit identifier* relative humidity % on middle line with yellow function and unit identifier* bottom line is button selectable between the wet bulb temperature [WB] and dew point [DP] red function identifiers.Holding down the function selector button for a few seconds switches between Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature display.Holding down the HOLD button toggles on/off the flashlight on the backside of device. The buttons are clearly labeled and it is a very intuitive user interface. The display is bright and high contrast with a totally black background and familiar white 7 segment digits. It includes 3 AAA batteries, a fabric zippered case, and a Philips screwdriver required to change batteries. Unfortunately the screw is not captured in the battery cover, and the cover is not captured in the device, so it is possible to lose either while changing batteries. It is difficult to read the all black molded indicator for battery polarity and the terminal for + and - are of identical design. This makes it likely to install batteries with reversed polarity. AAA batteries are never sold in packs of 3 or 9 and rarely in 6 or 12 packs. The rubberized case feels secure in hand and likely provides some drop protection. The case is a convenient size.I was using a hard wired raw temp/humidity sensor to automatically monitor the environment of an outdoor shed used to safely house solar battery projects. However I found a need to take more portable readings to discover sources of heat and humidity. This works excellent for that. Human breath causes a rapid rise in both temp and humidity readings and a fall off over about 15 seconds, demonstrating sufficient sample rate and sensitivity. Steady state readings show little fluctuation, indicating a sufficient noise floor. It isn't as definitive for finding heat sources as a forward looking infrared camera w/display, but it is much cheaper and still capable.Recommended tool.

Temperature Humidity Meter,SQECH High Precision Digital Hygrometer with Ambient, Relative Humidity,Dew Point,Wet Bulb,Thermometer Hygrometer with Color Backlight & Flashlight,Max/Min,Data Holdnice little handheld hygrometer for checking remote areas of the shop or whatever. it seems to be within 2-3 percentage points of my extech rh5520, which is not nist certified but it is my goto for temp and humidity measurements--i feel this is the most accurate device of this type that i have and the somewhat sadly names Sqech meter seems within its listed error rates. the screen is nice and has different colors which makes it seem more modern. all in all, for the price i am sure this is fine. it is not a lab grade tool, but it isnt that bad either. biggest complaint is the bottom isnt flat so it wont stand up.

Build quality is good. Temps in the manual say its extremely accurate. Theres no way to calibrate this meter. The manual says. "When moving from one temperature humidity extreme to another, wait awhile for the meter to stabilize". I started breathing on it, getting it to high humidity and temps. then watching how quick it was able to return to proper room temp readings. Maybe 5-7 minutes. Then I raced it against my pyrometer probe in the fridge. The pyrometer probe dropped temp fast. I didnt wait long enough for this meter to catch up. Then I took them out of the fridge and this meter returned to accurate room temp reading faster than my pyrometer. It took maybe 5 minutes for this meter to stabilize and read accurately. Im still waiting on the pyrometer probe to give an accurate room reading. The manual seems correct in that it reads accurately but "wait awhile". Im still waiting on my other pyro meter probe to return to accuracy but that meter is able to read volcano temps. This ones range is more designed for human survivable earth temps and doesnt go too crazy high or low.Overall it seems accurate. The time it takes to start displaying accurate temps is, not instant like Id like it to be, but comparative to other probes "wait awhile". Also, Im guessing the meter is reading Celsius then having to convert over to Fahrenheit. The difference between 74 and 75 degrees is .5 Celsius. My other pyrometer still says its 68, when everyone else is reporting 74/75..But again Ive seen that thing go to cone 9 (1200C) so its allowed to think its 68 in here. Its relatively correct in a 68 reading. If you want faster, less accurate, broader ranges of temps. The pyrometer probe wins. This thing won for returning to accurate readings of ambient temp. faster.Humidity readings are fast and 55% humidity is the humidity I believe because the meter told me so. This is how temp and humidity works.

Was so excited to get this Temperature and humidity sensor, and from the first impressions, it looked like a great product, but sadly the excitement was short lived. The sensor comes with batteries, a screw driver and a storage pouch. It is robust and lightweight. On to the details:The good ones:+ It starts up immediately, as soon as you press the on button, it is ready to go.+ Light and robust, well built. The issues:- By far, the biggest problem with this unit is it's accuracy. I have been using it for two weeks and the temperature reading does not inspire confidence. What I noticed, is that the temperature is somewhat accurate...ish. The problem is that the reaction time is too long. It takes minutes to adjust a 5-10 degrees. I have used other similar sensors and their reaction time is in seconds.- The screen is bright, which is great, but the most brightness is not at a perpendicular angel (looking at it straight). You need to tilt away from your view to see it at the best brightness.
