I've been using these dual functioning tap drills for years, multiple brands, multiple sizes. These from TEMO are working extremely well and they arrived packaged in the the tradition tap/die plastic containers which is an industry standard. The laser engraving is clear and quite bold, the drill point is sharp and also quite strong. The tap is also quite sharp and has no issue in tapping thinner material.Being a very small diameter, 6/32, these like all this size are super easy to snap or break. You'll definitely need to use cutting fluid or TapMagic when drilling thicker material and also, go extremely slow. Personally, for thicker material I would highly recommend pre-drilling, no question about it.Originally these were designed for use in the electrical industry where things like gang boxes needed to be re-threaded and these metal boxes and also plastic boxes are thick and easy to tap/drill.While I use these for gang boxes, I tend to use them more often for fabrication purposes where the metal, usually aluminum is a little thicker. Still, I would recommend a lube of some sort to protect the tool. These aren't cheap and certainly not to considered and easily/readily consumed item, you need these to last. That being said, work slowly, don't cut any corners, lay things out methodically and you'll have no issues or problems.Yes, I would recommend these tap/drills.

The ease of having a quality drill and tap all in one tool. That just gets the job done!

Does well. Expensive ones break often. So when this breaks it will not be a surprise. Good price will make it more bearable.

I mean it does what it is suppose to do but it’s so so fragile. Honestly wouldn’t buy again because they break wayyyy to easily

I ordered a two pack as a cheaper alternative to Greenlee. Well I got what I paid for !Both bits broke. The first one I used 4 times before it broke. The second broke on the first use. All I used them for is re-threading plugs and switches for cover plate screws. These are garbage !

I had a few dozen #10-32 holes to tap in 1/8in mild steel. After doing about a dozen manually, I decided it's stupid and dumb and slow.I ordered these despite others' bad experiences. I had nothing to lose.I tried various techniques based on what I read of others' experiences. What ultimately worked best for me tapping threads with these bits:(Disclaimer: All of my holes had been pre-drilled using #21 bit. I did not try drilling with these tap-bits.)1) Secure the part you are tapping.2) Use a cordless impact driver ( I tried normal driver on low, but didn't work as well for me)3) Insert just the tip into the hole. Lube well. (hey, now)4) Lean into the part and start drilling with even pressure. Be careful to stop prior to countersink. It's fast.To reverse1) Switch drill to reverse.2) pull drill away from part until thread taps touch part (cannot pull back further).3) Pulling back with even pressure, activate the drill and pull the bit out.32 pre-drilled holes tapped so far with this bit.I broke one bit and that's because I didn't secure the part properly in the vice. The part tipped, snapping the bit.So, if you have a lot of holes to tap and want to save a lot of time vs. manually tapping, these work with the right technique.

Using this to drill/tap holes in electrical boxes to attach a ground pigtail. (1960 construction - these are much heavier steel than modern junction boxes). I am happy to report that after Drilling and tapping 40 holes, I'm still on my first bit.

These bits work very well at high speed and save a lot of time in our production line. Just be careful to drill straight as they can make a much bigger hole very quickly. ;-)

The wrong size bits were sent. I ordered 8-32 but the bits were 6-32. Package says 8-32 though. The bits seem good quality though, so I’ll keep the 6-32 and order more, hopefully this time they can send the right ones.

Functions well provided you only need to do a few passes, it heats very quickly, I broke the first one with only 2 passes. Now its a 2 pack, the second one finished the 100+ passes so far but I have to lube before each pass to make sure it doesn't heat and snap.
