The best by date is 3.5 months from now. It is a non-returnable item, since it is a hazardous material. Amazon had a link to manufacturer Taylor Technologies, when I tried to return it. When I clicked on the link, it went to Taylor Guitars. Update - I called Amazon to complain about expiration date and they refunded my money. So, I changed the 1 star to 5 stars.

I have used Taylor chemicals for over 4 years and I love them. Our spa water is always under control but I do check it twice per week, especially in the summer.I tend to purchase some of the larger size bottles based on how much is used . Good products at a good price.

The same reagent you get at the pool store. Amazon's price is lower than the pool store, but not dramatically (about 60 cents at last check). This is an exact replace/refill of the reagent that comes in most Taylor pool water home test kits (this 0.75 oz is the most common size, the 2.0 oz bottles are much bigger). The Taylor tests include color coded caps associated with each testing procedure (e.g. chlorine, pH, et cetera). This replacement continues with that standard. Many pool chemicals are a significantly lower cost on Amazon (chlorine stabilizer, alkalinity increaser) but some are hard to find or more expensive (acid, salt). If you do a little comparison shopping you can lower significantly lower the cost of your pool maintenance (I try to indicate potential savings in my other pool chemical reviews, as well).
