I like the idea of a computer keeping track of my spa readings. With that being said I find it difficult to connect to the web.

Seems accurate, which I think is the most important. I compared the results three times with a pH pen, another brand of strips, and a liquid indicator kit. Definitely more accurate than the cheap kits. I think it’s easy and fast. The only value that changed every time (I didn’t do anything in between reads) was the Total Hardness (TH). So not sure what to think about that, but it fluctuates about 30 ppm each read.

Game changer for testing pool and hot tub! Much easier than just eyeing it! The if it’s off they tell you how to correct it.

Total Chlorine, Free Chlorine and pH are nice and seem accurate. However TH Cya and AlK always display a readout of "greater than" or "less than" values. This is obviously not helpful, especially if the displayed value is outside an acceptable range. This because you have to know by how much, so the correct amount of chemicals can be added to the pool water to bring it into balance. Further, displaying "greater than" 40 for CyA makes no sense either, since its in the acceptable range. Very confusing.

Over the past few decades, I have struggled with pool chemical testing equipment for one reason or another...being forced to use the various techniques requiring us to crazily match up colors and in other ways when dipping/reading a 'gazillion' number of paper water testing strips. I keep asking myself…Why am I doing this? Here’s the answer. To simple try and find out if my pool's chemical mix is balanced or not. Us, as being the pool/spa persons of the house, chemically unbalanced pool/spa water will rapidly corrode the pool/spa’s plaster, the concrete, the tile grout, the metals in your pool and pump house equipment, and more! The bottom line is this...unbalanced pool/spa water is a destroyer and is extremely, extremely expensive to repair. For example, I just had my pool renovated this year and the cost was so hugely unbelievable – a money pit. Unfortunately, as hard as I tried, most of the pool damage repaired in the renovation was due in part to unbalanced pool water. Now, here's where AquaDoc's Eagle Ray digital system comes in. Finally, the Eagle Ray reader is affordable (Amazon cost - $149.00) for any of us residential pool owners looking for a digital reader. For comparison a commercial type water tester can be as much as a $1000.00 or more...yikes. AquaDoc's Eagle Ray Digital Water Resting Kit is a digital water testing strip reader that is a hand sized (6.5” X 3”) Photometer (requires three AA batteries). Dip a special Eagle Ray water test strip into the pool/spa water for 2 seconds and you’ll have a fairly accurate reading in less than a minute. The Photometer provides analysis for a pool/spa's total chlorine, total hardness, free chlorine, bromine, cyanuric acid, total alkalinity, and PH. So you know, I did have a problem with the Eagle Ray’s 7-in-1 testing strips (30 count) that came with kit. I kept getting an error for the pool’s PH reading over 10 separate tests. And, not wanting to give up on the Eagle Ray, I purchased another set of AquaDoc Eagle Ray water testing strips from Amazon, a 100-count container for $15.00. The ‘new’ strips gave me an accurate PH reading (thru 5 tests) matching my local pool store's Clear Care Expert Water Analysis System, which was free. In closing, I highly recommend taking your pool/spa water for testing to your local pool store at least once a month or more if needed (e.g. algae or other pool/spa water problem) for a comparative analysis with the Eagle Ray. Also, AquaDoc's online support was outstanding and I was offered reimbursement for the purchase of the Eagle Ray 100- count water testing strips. I am keeping the Eagle Ray!

Got a new Swim Spa this summer and had no idea how to manage the chemicals. My brother gave me a little test set, but sometimes it’s really hard to tell what the color is. Once I figured out what the manufacturer suggested as good levels, it was really helpful to have this test kit. I used it once or twice a week, and although I had to go inside to take a picture of it, it worked to upload every time and gave me excellent advice. My only complaint is that it always refers to their own brand of products. I received a years supply from the manufacturer of my Swim Spa, so I kind of have to guess how much of the other brand I have to put in.Charged this when I first got it, and only had to recharge once this summer. Overall, it’s very easy to use, and I found that my Swim Spa was sparkly and did not run into any issues with algae or cloudiness.
