It was made to fit my Browning ABolt. Some of the reviews had me reconsidering these mounts, but I sure am glad that I got them anyways. I mounted a Steiner 3x15x50 with a 30mm tube. The medium height was perfect for my rifle. I just need to find some time to take it to the range to sight it in.

If you are an owner of a Browning A-Bolt DO NOT buy Tally rings. I have a customer that brought me a Browning A-Bolt to change out his scope. The Rifle already had a scope on it with Tally rings. The customer wanted to stay with Tally rings because he really like them. The scope on his rifle had a 1" tube and he was changing to a 30mm tube. I ordered him a set of Tally Rings/mount that is for a Browning A-Bolt. When the rings arrived I set the gun up for the change out. While removing the rings he had on the rifle I noticed that the rear mount had only one screw in it. I took out the new rings, and low and behold Tally makes the front and rear mounts exactly the same. The front holes are .872" centers and the rear holes are .570" centers. Now I know why the original rear mount only had 1 screw holding it down. You would think a reputal company as Tally Rings are, they would at least try their rings on a real Browning A-Bolt. Now a 15 minute job is going to take a couple of weeks because of having wait again for a set of leupold rings and bases to arrive and hope I get my money back on these Tally Rings.

I had to widen the holes on the mounts because they didn't match the threads on my .270 A-bolt. I also needed different screws than the ones included with the mount. The mounts of held true since after a little tinkering.

These mounts worked perfectly on a browning A-Bolt. The mounts were in perfect alignment when installed on the rifle and needed zero lapping to make a stress free assembly. I use these on a regular basis

Simplifies the mounting process by avoiding a separate base. Rock solid, lightweight ,always fits, use them on all my high-end rifles. They seem to be a little higher than similar mounts. Where I usually use a medium height ring, I find with Talley rings I can go with a low height ring. Call Talley and they can tell you what height you need. No worries with these.

Seem well built. On my Browning A-bolt shotgun the front mount sits about an eighth inch higher than the rear mount. Didn't notice this until I mounted it and sent a box of sabots down range. It says its for the A-bolt shotgun but do not work properly hence the 4 stars. Overall great quality just bad design.

Great scope mounts at a very reasonable price. I have these on another rifle as well and the quality is outstanding. The one-piece base/ring design seems to eliminate alignment issues I have encountered with dovetail style mounts. Not the fault of the mount, but I had to return these medium-height mounts and purchase the "high" model. Needed the extra clearance due to the unique bolt design of my rifle. This was the first time I have ever had to return anything to AMAZON, but the process was very easy and the refund was issued right away. Couldn't ask for anything more: great product, great price and excellent customer service...
