After extensive troubleshooting including multiple resets, power cycles, antenna configurations, WiFi settings, and app testing on different devices, the Tablo remains stuck after WiFi connection but before initialization completes. This suggests either firmware corruption or hardware failure.Given these symptoms and exhausted troubleshooting, I will be requesting a replacement unit and if that does not happen or it does not work, this unit will be returned for a refund.

This is a great solution for integrating over-the-air broadcast TV programs into your digital television viewing. We use it with multiple Chromecast devices and the app works great. The video quality is as good or better than any streaming service and the app responds quickly while the video plays smoothly with no buffering. This is a much better solution than streaming services like Peacock or Paramount+, and with no monthly subscription required.

Was a little leery to try this, however we love it! Streaming well, taped our race perfectly and fast forwards work beautifully. Easy set up and great value. We have slow internet due to living in the country and it's working without issue. An added bonus - it picked up a lot more free channels then our base antenna did.

Extremely easy to set with an intuitive menu. It pulls 2 weeks of tv schedule up without any subscription needed. It also very simple to setup recording.I setup some programs to always record but only if they are new. I setup others to record all new or reruns and I set up some single episodes to record as well. The recordings worked great and were simple to fast forward commercials, etc.It does take a bit longer to load than OTA TV on my Roku, but not too bad. It’s nice that it streams to any TV or phone in my house.I did notice that my Roku TV does bring in more channels (QVC and some other weird channels) that the TabloTV does not. I think they are a different OTA signal format than the main local stations. It’s nice that TabloTV also adds a bunch of streaming channels as well if it has internet connectivity.Lastly, I like that it comes with an internal hard drive that can store 50 hours of programming. It was also easy to add an external drive via usb, to have more storage.

I have been using a Channel Master to view and record OTA but wanted an OTA device that would work with my Firestick. Reviews of the Tablo were mixed but thought I'd give it a try. Have had it now for about a week and so far I'm extremely pleased. Amazingly, it found an incredible number of OTA channels - 177. I do have a big rooftop antenna that was installed years ago before cable and I'm in the Phoenix area. The guide is well-done and there is minimal buffering even though I don't have a real fast internet and I'm using the Tablo wirelessly. It was a no-brainer to hook up the Tablo and get it working. You use your phone to customize your channels. I selected the ones I wanted in the guide by tagging them as Favorites. So far, there are only a couple of nits. I can't start recording a show that I'm watching, you have to set that up before the show starts. Also, it's tricky to skip commercials when watching a recording before it's done. You can't see where you are when skipping. After a recording is finished, it shows you frames that you can view to skip to where you want. Perhaps future software updates can add these functions. Bottom line, this Tablo works great and I'm very happy I got it. Much better than the Channel Master I've used for years. I'm hopeful that it will have good long-term reliability.

I do have to say it works well on my tablet but I tried everything to get it to work on Samsung Smart TV. App won't load and tried adding the app to my Windows 11 PC and it will not find the Tablo on the Wi-Fi network. Did reboot router and Tablo nothing has worked.

Purchased this so I could cut the expensive streaming services just to get local channels. I connected this to an antenna in my attic and now have 160 stations inclusive of the free stations that come with the Tablo device. I have five smart tvs in my home to include Samsung, Sony and Roku. All have a different app but all work great with this regardless of the OS. The interface is way better than I expected. Recording, pausing and rewinding live broadcasts couldn’t be easier. It also picked up more over the air channels than my most expensive Sony TV connected to the same antenna. The only reason I didn’t give it five starts is that you have to be connected to your local network for it to work so you can’t use it on your phone or tablet if not on your home network. I could care less about that but it could be an issue for others. Others mentioned issues with set up or connection to WiFi. I had no issues at all and thought the app was fairly intuitive as far as set up. It was up and running in minutes.

It's a scam, they don't tell you in the commercials that it needs three different cables to operate. I tried all three separately, and together (but all I got was no signal). I have spread the bad word of mouth to friends (3 fire departments),family. Via Facebook page
