We just renovated our master bathroom and this looks so nice in our walkin shower. I am fond of brushed nickel so all the fixtures had to be that metal color.

The escutcheon (the piece that covers the hole in the shower wall) is literally plastic. Really cheap looking lightweight plastic. It got covered in fingerprints just out of the package. I returned it right away and bought a better Symmons trim that was metal. Avoid this item.

Looks good. But the large plate is plastic, as are a couple other components. So over time the finish might wear off if you use abrasive cleansers or scrubber pads (don't). Scrubbing bubbles and a soft sponge is likely a better choice.

Although the product is plastic, I've been wiping the water off after each use, and it still looks new after a year.

I purchased this trim kit at home depot for $55. I only bought it because no other brand would fit the valve in our shower. Poor quality. Looks cheap & already looked dirty out of the package from handling it. Will be returning & replacing the valve on my shower so I can replace it with a better brand.
