I'm not terribly handy -- I'd certainly never taken a toilet tank apart before -- but it seemed obvious that this "triangle" gasket was the source of the leak in my very old Kohler Wellworth toilet and I decided to give it a shot and repair it myself for about 95% less than the cost of a plumber.I didn't need any help and it was a fairly quick job. Swapping the gasket was pretty straightforward. The leaking stopped immediately. I'm a happy camper.TOOLS NEEDED TO REMOVE THE TANK AND OLD GASKET:- Big Sponge (to sop up the water at the bottom of the tank)- Big flathead screwdriver and (probably) a plumber's wrench to loosen the old boltsTOOLS NEEDED TO REPLACE THE GASKET AND TANK:- 1/2" socket and ratchet (or wrench)- Bubble level (you want to adjust the 3 bolts to make sure the tank is level front-to-back and side-to-side)A big flathead screwdriver and a 1/2" ratchet

the peice is fine, however, i would have appreciated if it said on the instructions before buying that i need a rench and what size as well!

Look no further, this thing fits properly and does not leak. The only challenge is tightening the valve's hex nut enough and decide when enough is enough.

These are better than the original parts that came with my old Kohler Wellworth. They replaced those old metal bolts that the screwdrivers would always slip out of with these new rubberized knobs which are easier to grab. There is also less rubber on the seal. My old one was more triangular, but this is definitely the correct replacement.The tough part was getting the plastic nut off of the old one. Some people cut it off, but I didn't have a spare one, and they're kind of pricey and hard to find. The correct tool for this is a really wide wrench which I also didn't have. I ended up tugging on the old rubber gasket, pulling all three corners away from the tank while twisting it, basically using the gasket as a gripper. This worked and I was able to reuse the nut.With genuine parts priced about the same as the aftermarket ones, you can bet I got the genuine ones for this job.

These appear to be an exact replacement for my Kohler K4620. Install was fairly easy, the only slightly tough part is the big plastic hex nut on the flush valve. I used a large channel-lock type pliers and it went fine. 5 stars!
