About this item

  • Neutral Density ND Filter; giving great versatility in changing light; reduces the amount of light without effecting color balance; perfectly neutral color will not alter the natural color of the moon
  • High-quality optical lenses; made by completed professional optical glasses; Multi-layer coating; ND8 filter transmits only 12.5% of the incoming light; it has outstanding image sharpness and perfect colour neutrality
  • 1.25'' barrel diameter; metal filter cell threads directly into the 1.25 inch barrel of your telescope eyepiece; useful for different caliber astronomical telescopes through which the light of the moon can be extremely overwhelming
  • Great Filter Frames; Filter Frames made by aluminum alloy; the serrated design of the edge of the frame makes it easy to install;Increase surface durability

Need some light reduction when helping my grandson to view the moon, even on a Cresent with slight magnification the moon is bright. This filter blocks enough light to protect your eyes.

A little darker than most moon filters, but that is the good thing....five stars

Great filter and works as described, however the filter threads do not catch and tighten with my Celestron 8-24mm zoom eye piece ( I used a small piece of tape to hold it into place), attaches and tightens normally with my Celestron 25mm PLOSSL, not a deal breaker and still recommend for the price.

The ND properties of this filter are nice especially for the cost. Glass has good clarity. I like that it's gray rather than the typical green or even blue. Good finish, but unfortunately doesn't fit most of my standard 1.25 inch eyepieces so I'm docking a star. Not a big deal for me because I'm ordering more SVBony lenses so hopefully those work better together. But as is, a little disappointed. Easy enough to tape, but you shouldn't have to do that. Not exactly sure what the problem is here, maybe a disconnect between metric and imperial but as I stated earlier these should be a very standard fit.

This thing does what it is supposed to. Makes viewing a full moon much more bearable under higher magnification. The build is solid and comes in a little plastic clamshell case that can be kept as its home. This is the first moon filter I've ever used so I can't compare it to more expensive models. Honestly, I'm not sure what a higher end filter could do to best it. For only $11 I'd say just get this one. You're only going to use it on a full moon anyway.

The moons still bright but it definitely dims it down. Screws on super easily. Good purchase

Does the job with no wierdness. The filter screws to the eyepiece smoothly and the machine work is of high qaulity.
