Light sources from above and below; it's like two telescopes in one. Mechanical stage makes it MUCH easier to move the slide around. I had a Swift-branded scope that was 95% identical to this and I bought this JUST to get the mechanical stage. FWIW, I bought a $60 Hayear camera and I do 80%+ my viewing from my laptop. This is a fantastic bargain.

Very shocked at the quality of this microscope. The dual light source makes it so clear. And the addition of the monitor/phone attachment is perfect for those of us with vision issues and would just like to capture things on either a photo or video. Remarkably lightweight for the optics it has. and the the byuuilt in handle makes carrying it simple.
