A very good quality Barlow with clear images and enhancement of regular eyepieces

Definitely Improved Viewing

This worked perfectly for my existing Canon compatible T-adapter, allowing me to use my camera and telescope for astrophotography

I got this to connect to my dslr for planetary videos in my f5 Newtonian

Needed this lens to fit a dslr camera to a telescope. It is well constructed out of machined aluminum and the lens is fully multi-coated. The fit is good

Package Includes:

1X SVBONY 2X Barlow Lens

2X Dust Cove

Common sense of Barlow lens

The Barlow lens’ role is not just to improve the image quality;it's also play an important role of viewing comfortable

Even a well made Barlow will little damage on the imaging quality

When the Barlow lens and eyepiece using together;if the magnification is higher than the maximum effective magnification of the telescope itself

the Barlow lens observation effect appears nearly zero or imaging becomes blurred

Well Made Barlow Lens

The mechanical housing is well made, all anodized aluminum and easily disassembled. The lens is in a cell removable from the bottom (entrance end) of the assembly.

If you remove the lens cell, then you have a simple 1.25 inch to T-mount mechanical adapter for direct projection.

The top (exit end) receives 1.25 inch eyepieces, so you could insert an eyepiece to do eyepiece projection.

This all works well, because you're not using the optics that come with the unit

Bought it so I could connect my DSLR to a Dobsonian telescope, which is a beast to lug in the first place. Putting the DSLR into the Dob makes it unbalanced and have to support the tilt mechanism so it stays in place. But this wonderful SVBony piece of ingenuity does nothing for me - the DSLR cannot focus, picture comes blurry and nowhere as detailed as the telescope would show to my eyes with a Ploessl dropped in the viewer. What does it do? Why aren't there any instructions, SVBony?Until you know how to use this contraption, I suggest you save your money..

I purchased this as i couldn't get my DSLR to focus. This did resolve that issue and i could get it to focus, however the image quality was very poor.

As an amateur, I am pleased with this Barlow lens. I have had a Celestron Omni AZ 102 telescope for a week now. The Barlow came just in time for me to use for the conjunction of Jupiter and Venus. I can see the rings of Venus and the moons of Jupiter with the 10mm eyepiece that came with the telescope, but this Barlow lens makes them much clearer. I have found that I do need to refocus my telescope when switching out the plain eyepiece. I noticed some reviewers mentioning that they did not need to refocus.

If you remove the lens cell, then you have a simple 1.25 inch to T-mount mechanical adapter for direct projection. The top (exit end) receives 1.25 inch eyepieces, so you could insert an eyepiece to do eyepiece projection. This all works well, because you're not using the optics that come with the unit. What is disappointing is the negative lens included in the assembly. It's a 20mm diameter, -125mm focal length piece of plain, plano-concave, uncoated glass. Not a cemented achromat or even coated. So the sales specifications ("fully multi coated", "chromatic corrected") are risible, typical of those overseas friends who tell us what we want to hear without any correlation to what the words mean. The -125mm element is located 22mm inside of the telescope focuser's 1.25 inch eyepiece shoulder. The eyepiece receptacle is 38mm past the focuser's shoulder. Use the Barlow formulas to calculate what the effective magnification ratio is on your instrument. The magnification will be M = f/(f+d), where f = -125mm is the focal length of the lens, and d is the distance of the lens inside the focal plane of the lens. To achieve M = 2x as specified for this product, d would have to be -1/2 of f, or 62.5mm inside the focal plane. I don't see how that is possible with this tube that is shorter, so the actual magnification is going to be much less than 2x.

I am really satisfied with this adapter. It is all metal and has the appearance of high quality. The threads mated perfectly with the T_ring I already had for my telescope, simply unthread the short tube that is on your t ring and thread this back in its place. No problem at all. I can also be used independently of a T-ring. My 1.25 lenses fit perfectly inside the tube.

I can't use this on my telescope because of the focus length. I dropped a star because the machining of the tightening screw was a little jagged and i had to file it down a bit so I could set an eyepiece into it. I plan on buying a new telescope and hopefully I will be able to use this with it. The 3x I got with my Travelscope is plastic and cheap feeling. This piece feels quality made, aside from my earlier complaint.

When I got it, it came with no instructions. I tried all different ways to attach it and could not do it so I was going to return it.The treads, didn't tread into anything. I decided to look at the mfg. of the telescope site and see if they showed how to use theiroriginal piece which was more than double the price of this. It did. I had to remove the eye piece that was there, drop this one in it's place, put the original one into this, and that was it. I don't know why the threads are in it. Anyway, it did a great job of doubling what I was seeing without it. A nice piece with good optical glass.Don't know why they don't put instructions in.
