This is a very sturdy design with 10 degree trucks. It is very responsive so you will have to know if you like your trucks tight or loose because you can definitely feel it in the performance. I tried it both ways but I seem to have more control with loosened trucks. The only thing I had to add were flat washers inside my shoes for the bolts that secure the plate, a set of locking nuts and a little lock-tite on the threads otherwise, their nuts will come off.

I originally bought these to replace the plates on a pair of really cheap skates i bought but they didn’t fit so after a couple hours of trying to force screws through holes i made a custom pair of skates. The plates are really good and you’re probably better off buying these then getting skates off of amazon that aren’t name brand.

What I like about these is the fact that they are made of metal which is not only sturdy but looks fashionable on the shoe I chose to make skates with.

Doesn’t come with instructions. I assume the retailer assumes the purchaser knows already. Over all for a first time plate installer alike myself, I figured it via YouTube and it came with everything I needed to assemble a recreational skate. The good thing:- it’s durable,- inexpensive compared to other plates that range $150-$600- comes with a stopper, screws, and trucks and bolts. The bad thing:- It’s considered a heavy plate, only best fit recreational skating, not tricks and derby.- the trucks can be difficult to screw in accurately since the manufacturing is faulty and doesn’t match the thread inside plate.- One shot to install right. if you mess up, you have to drill more holes probably very close to the first attempt and risk damaging the shoes.- You need a drill press and drill in general.- If you’re using sneakers or shoes, a metal plate may be necessary to secure plates overtime. (I didn’t use them because I’m a beginner skater, and my shoes were high platform.) There only 25-30 online.

I'm super happy with these. I got a size 5 plate for a men's 7.5 shoes (women's 9). I normally wear a women's size 8.5 so I got a size bigger to make my own skates. I honestly couldn't be happier with the outcome, the plates are super sturdy (a little heavy but that's how i like mt skates), they come with the trucks and stoppers at a price you can't find anywhere else. The one problem I had was that the stoppers wouldn't screw all the way in but that's a really easy fix with a couple of washers. Couldn't be happier! These plates did me so well without breaking the bank ;)
