Aluminum plates will always be more heavy then plastic ones. However, for aluminum plates, these are very light. You would likely find yourself spending way more money to get anything lighter.They are however way more durable then plastic which is a plus as I am a 6 ft tall 200 lb male.The adjustability of these plates that are terrific. The cushions seem to be holding up well And I feel I can get more lifespan out of those cushions tanks to the extra adjustability allowing me to adjust as they change.Unless you are jumping or putting extrme force on these i see zero reason why these could not last a lifetime.The angle of these these create a great balance of maneuverability while still being stable. I find the angle to be a good middle ground. Not too much for speed skating but plenty of maneuverability for any kind of trick skating you might want to do.I would have no problem purchasing these again but I don't plan on needing to. Happy with my purchase. If I had an ask it would be for a cheaper price but I feel these are competitively priced versus the competition. You do get what you pay for with these.This may not be the newest design, but they've been around long enough to proven themselves to be durable well rounded plates that are nice and light.

On a whim, I bought my Moxi Jack’s with these plates already on them. Wow! They are very lightweight, and do not drag while skating. I do mostly recreational skating and some park skating, and these plates are rockstars for both. I am able to skate much faster, and am more agile on these plates. My other skates all have different plates on them, and I have to say these are my favorites. Love them, and highly recommend!
