Ladder is sound and meets our needs, however, the picture shown makes you believe that the steps would be level front to back with the floor when the ladder is leaned against the top bunk. Not so. The steps slant to the rear when leaned at an angel desirable for climbing into an upper bunk and are not at all comfortable to climb unless you are wearing shoes.

We purchased this for our travel trailer and it was the perfect height and weight. It is very sturdy and works great.

The ladder is ok for our needs. It is used for my daughter's lofted bed at college. I needed to purchase the one with one inch hooks, but we made do by using bungee cords to a attach it to the bed.

The ladder was a little too long so we had to cut a bit off with a hacksaw; at least we were able to adjust the angle so that the person on the bottom bunk has easy access and at the same time the ladder is not sticking out into the hallway for others to trip over. This is important for nighttime trips to the bathroom. It is also easy to remove when not in use. During the day we unhook the ladder and rest it on the top bunk. It seems quite sturdy and well made. At least we haven't had any accidents with it yet, but then we've only used it for one camping trip so far. The rungs are maybe about 2" wide, so they're comfortable enough. If this ladder seems too flimsy for anyone, then they probably have no business climbing up to the top bunk. I am glad we bought this ladder and I'd recommend it to anyone for use with a bunkbed or similar setup. If I have any problems with it in the future, I will come back and amend this review.

Very happy with this purchase, even though I had to cut a couple of inches off of the legs to get it to fit in our 5th wheel travel trailer. There just wasn't the perfect size available. It's worked out so well and is really solid when my children climb up and down to get to the top bunk. Thrilled with this purchase!

I ordered this for my daughter to use at college for her bunk bed. It broke beyond repair within about two weeks of use. It would probably be okay if used on a very occasional basis by a small child.
