About this item

  • In an RV, space is limited, which is why having a ladder permanently mounted to the bunk might not be the best thing. With the provided mounting brackets, you can add or remove the ladder at your leisure, climbing up when you need it and not bumping into it when you don’t.
  • With the rubber foot pads, you have a steady and stable hold while climbing and with the heavy-duty screw top for the mounting hooks, you can be sure that the ladder isn’t going to slip and slide.
  • Measuring 60” tall and 13” wide with 2” thick steps, it weighs 5lbs but can hold up to 250lbs. Whether it’s meant for your child to climb up into bed or for you to kiss them goodnight, it’s a stable camper bunk ladder. It’s made of solid aluminum, which is sleek and waterproof. Even if it’s the heat of a humid summer, you won’t have to worry about it leading to the ladder rusting or falling into disrepair.
  • Ladder's intended use is for the interior bunk of the RV, and is not intended for any exterior purposes

This ladder is flimsy!!!! I am currently around 200# and if this ladder is on more than a 10 degree angle I will snap it in half! The end latches and mounting brackets aren’t even aluminum, they’re plastic. I could easily break either with nothing more than pressure from my thumb. The steps seem sturdy enough but the tubing deflects at least 4” when I climb it at a 10 degree angle, anymore and I’m confident I would break it. I am going to try to fill the hollow tubing with polyurethane foam and see if I can get any more rigidity and tensile strength out of this thing. I am also going to have to fabricate hooks and mounting brackets out of steel for my application. As sold this thing is absolute JUNK!!! Save your money.

Our Winnebago travel trailer did not come with a ladder for the bunks. After looking at reviews I ordered this one with the intention of cutting it down to the size we needed, easy to cut with a hand saw, ladder was bought for my kids bunk bed. If it's for kids, like in my situation, this should suffice.

Its a good little ladder to have for the bunk beds in our camper, one of the legs started to bend, contacted the seller and they took care of the problem, great customer service

This review is specifically for the ladder, not shipping box packaging and mislabeled weight. Those will be discussed later. The ladder is solid, sturdy, held my 235 lbs with no movement or bowing. Although advertised as a 300 lb ladder, the sticker on the underside of the bottom rung states its weight limit is 200 lbs. My son is 85 lbs and he’ll be using it 99% of the time, but I did report the discrepancy because I will need to use the ladder on occasion to help make his bed, etc.My son discovered that it could hook to the inside lip of his cabinet and he could easily access the top shelf to get school books. This new discovery will have me calling RecPro about the true weight capacity, because using it to access stuff stored on top those cabinets is super handy! It beats digging out my foldable step ladder!!The thickness of the bunk side panel can’t be any larger than 1.25” in order for the ladder hook to fit securely over the side. It is a good thing it fits my son’s bunk perfectly, because the packaging left much to be desired and 1 of the two hook brackets was missing due to the box being split nearly in half. I contacted seller and had a new bracket within a week! Unfortunately during that time my son played with the 1st bracket and lost it! It would be super easy for RecPro to tape the hardware to the side of the box to prevent hardware from falling out of the box. Also, if all seams of the box were securely taped shut, it wouldn’t so easily break open. Any packing material was nonexistent upon opening if it was initially include. I highly doubt it as one bracket was still in the box and that would be much smaller in size than packing materials. If I was asked to rate packaging, I’d give 1 star, only because no stars are usually not an option.Overall, the ladder is exactly what I needed and expected. Minus packaging and mislabeled weight limit, I give the ladder 5 stars. Bonus stars that I no longer need to tote a step ladder into the bunk room to access stuff stored above cabinets.

It is light weight and Sturdy. I was replacing a shorter ladder so I just removed the bottom step and cut the ladder shorter using a tubing cutter. Very easy to do. Good value for the money. I replaced a ladder that had a cumbersome latch that resulted in breaking the latch. No replacement latch available so I replaced the entire ladder and brackets. Very happy with the results.

The ladder is sturdy but light weight. We had to trim the bottom slightly at make it work for our RV bunk height (took 7" off the bottom) and it is perfect now. They should really make different later heights so you don't have to cut it down, but it works. Ours only came with one bracket in the box unfortunately so we just have the ladder hooked over the edge of the bunk. It's stable and works great just hooked over though.

Arrived very poorly boxed. One end was partially open, the middle was split open. There was supposed to be little anchor clips/eyes for the ladder to hook into ... but they were not in the box. I guess they fell out through one of the two gaping holes in the box.Another thing ... the ladder appeared used. There were 4 worn foam sticky blocks stuck to the ladder like someone had placed them there.However.... in the end the ladder was nice and we're using it.

Our Class C did not come with a bunk ladder. We bought this and although we had to cut the legs a little shorter it has worked out great! My son no longer has fear getting in and out of the top bunk! Highly recommend!!
