I was a bit disappointed that no instructions were included. Though, I was able to figure it out fine. You twist on the small pipes to the ends, then the round plates to the end of those. It comes with plenty of screws and anchors. I would HIGHLY recommend, if you are putting this into dry wall, to make sure at least four of the screws in total go into a stud. You run the risk of this heavy thing popping out during use if you're only relying on drywall anchors. That's not the fault of the product, just common sense. The ladder is very sturdy and heavy duty, screws together easily, and I have no real complaints apart from no instructions which would've helped me know the proper drill size for the anchors or screws.

Really nice. I’m using this heavy duty 40”, three rung, black iron pipe ladder in a window well. The only assembly is to screw in four short pipes and four flanges. Hardware for Installation is included and takes only a few minutes.The three rung ladder not only gives an emergency exit, but provides entrance into and out of the window well for cleaning. The rungs of the ladder sit far enough away from the mounting surface to give a secure foot hold. Materials and workmanship are excellent.
