I was so happy to find a protective case for my Japanese flute. We are in the process of moving and I really had no idea what I could use to wrap up such a delicate item. This has excellent padding around it, and it has two "tubes" inside that the pieces of your flute can slip into so they don't crash around. There are also a few pockets inside to hold odds and ends. The zipper moves well. It's just an all-around well-made case.So if you have to move around a delicate flute as well, I highly recommend this.

I have a collection of Patrick Olwell bamboo flutes and I've only ever used cloth tubes to carry them; even so, the longest one I owned didn't quite cover up the longest one (a low-C.) It never even occurred to me that anyone made bamboo flute carrying bags!So when this popped up on the Vine list, I snapped it up. I wish they hadn't folded it for shipping in a smaller box, because even though the padding is soft (so it won't protect much) it would have been better without the crease. I also wish the shoulder strap was a bit longer, but it does expand enough to allow an over-the-shoulder back carry of the flute.Regardless, this is a very nice carrying bag.For packing, of course, it would need a lot of protection, and can accommodate up to 3 flutes if you added some padding/separation between the sides.I think I'm going to find a couple of thin metal rods to cover with cloth and attach at the opposite edges, sewn or glued into place. That way there will be stiffness support that's stronger than the flutes and provide some protection from possible bending.
