Received the case had a bad smell to it. Used it for the first time at the band show and the second time opening it the latch broke off.

Bought for my 12yo daughter's 7th grade school flute. Prior canvas bag ripped, this is of course hardened material and has the nice foam/felt on the inside and a strong handle and has been holding up well for a month plus of being knocked around. :)

For the price, you cannot find anything better! Of course, it has to be made from cheaper materials because of the low price point, but it completely does the job. My daughter is rough on her flute case, shoving it into bags with heavy textbooks, dropping it off tables, crushing it under other things, and this case is completely up for the challenge. I've never paid so little and got such high value before...for anything. If you are looking for a top notch case built with the most-durable materials (like what they sell in music stores), then this may not be the case for you, but if you are looking for something economical that can still do the job of protecting your instrument, then this is the case for you.
